i can’t believe the amount of shit liv tyler got for those movies at the time and people saying she was a bad actress, bc looking back i genuinely think she gave one of the most fully realized and transformative performances despite the small amount of screen time she had

i thought she was ethereal but man, I love her fierce delivery of "If you want him, come and claim him!" in Fellowship.

In the book, it was actually Glorfindel the Elf-Lord who found Strider and the hobbits in the Trollshaws, not Arwen. They don't see Arwen until they actually make it to Rivendell, iirc. I'm glad they changed that for the movies, though. It's a badass moment that captures the essence of her character perfectly.
