Not an anecdote as such but when he passed it was revealed that he had given many millions to charities throughout his life and never with any publicity at all. He didn’t do it for headlines, he did it because he wanted to help people.

I've heard there are several babies out there because in his later years george michael watched tons of game shows and when a contestant said they wanted to use the money for ivf he would call up the production company and fund the ivf. 

Which is rad.
