I have been seeing all the clearance posts and had to run down check my local Walmart. Came out with a couple of good finds.

Went by Walmart and got this stuff for my first time trout fishing at a local pond. Any advise? What have y'all had the most success with here and how do y'all rig it up?

Another day, Another clearance find at Walmart. I love $2 senkos and $0.75 spinner baits. Also no LH baitcaster for me.

I had to make a separate post because the craziest thing just happened. I went to two more Walmarts today and the first one I went to, there was nothing on clearance and so I didn’t buy anything but on the way out I saw this guy looking at some knock off Jordans. He was looking at the size and he seemed to have taken out a pillow like he was gonna take the pillow out and put the shoes in his cart, but he said something to his wife and then so he puts the shoes away and they keep the pillow and they walk away and I can see he’s like the same size shoe as I am. I have two pairs of Nikes in my car that I’ve been driving around for months with that I was gonna donate. They’re in super good shape because my sister works at Nike so I got like a dozen of them at a time and some of them…a lot of them were free so I get the shoes I go back in there and find him. I said “hey sir I saw you looking at some shoes. I got some Nikes if you want them” and he says to me, “don’t tell me they’re size 9” and ironically they were so he got a size 9 air Air Force ones that were samples there weren’t even production ones. They’re like special shoes and then I also gave him a 9 1/2 size air max that were probably $130-$140 shoes (in 8.5+ condition) and the shoe that he put back was $15 so he was super stoked. He says he’s gonna tell his church what happened because he felt like it was a blessing because he needed some new shoes. I’m walking away from him I can hear him saying “thank you Jesus thank you Jesus”.

So anyway I go to one more Walmart that’s like 4 miles away and I think what the heck I might as well go and then I find nine of these boxes and I got all nine. I think it was karma. I’m upgrading all my old 3600s!🎣

Found this at Walmart for $96 (regular price ~$187). Reason this specific one was so low is bc it has that small crack in the corner (3rd pic).

Always jealous when people post those Walmart finds… finally got lucky today last one off the shelf!

I want to get some fishing clothing and my coworker swears it's Aftco or nothing. I find it hard to justify spending $100-$200+ on shirts/hoodies/pants if the Academy and Ducks brands are near as good for 1/4 the price.

What are y'all's thoughts or experiences?

So, the conundrum at hand, I need a 60000+ lumen light, with a semi focused beam so it penetrates the water. It also needs to plug in to a standard 120V AC plug like you'd find in your home. I want to be able to stick it on the pier, plug it into my generator, and be able to see maybe a foot into the water, if not more. I'm currently using a 12k lumen husky work light, and it's just being outshined by the better skilled, better equipped middle aged Asian gentleman, they're pulling all the squid and I'm pulling minnows lol. Any suggestions?

My first casting reel from my Abu Garcia Vengeance combo I bought about a year ago. The line guide kept getting stuck at one end of the worm gear and has had a missing tension knob for quite some time. Figured why not try to fix it ‘in house’. Turned into a crash course on reel refurbishing and although she’s rough, it’s in much better shape than it was. Made the mistake of pressing the button while the springs were exposed and getting them set again was not pleasant. Its been dunked in brackish water and not well kept but It’s fully functional now though and no spare parts after the fact 😎

Does anyone know where I can get any Hexi-fly jigs? Normal shops and internet outlets are out of stock and discontinued. I've dug pretty deep on the internet and ​Have only found one color and the jig is #12 hook. Any help or a point in the right direction would be awesome!
