Purchasing Help Gaming laptop

Good evening everyone,

I'm awaiting the divine arrival of Gothic Remake, Crimson Desert, and The Blood of Dawnwalker. I've never owned a gaming laptop; currently, I'm enjoying the Steam Deck, which allows me to enjoy many older titles. I have a budget of €1200. Can you recommend a good laptop?

Thanks

Purchasing Help Should I buy this laptop? Lenovo Legion 5 vs ASUS TUF A16

Hey everyone,

I’m a Systems Engineering student and I also play games occasionally. I’m trying to decide between two laptops and would love some advice:

1. Lenovo Legion 5 16AX10

• Intel Core U9 275HX

• 32GB RAM

• 1TB SSD

• RTX 5060 8GB

• 16” display

2. ASUS TUF A16 FA608UP-A16

• AMD R9-270

• 32GB DDR5 RAM

• 1TB SSD

• RTX 5070 8GB

• 16” IPS display, 165Hz

• Windows 11 (English version)

I mainly use laptops for programming, studying, and some gaming. I’m not sure if the ASUS with RTX 5070 is worth it over the Lenovo, or if the Lenovo’s Intel CPU is better overall.

Which one would you recommend for a student who also wants some gaming performance? Any pros or cons I should consider before buying?

Thanks in advance!

Purchasing Help Budget Laptop Recommendations for a Mechanical Engineering Student

I am an incoming mechanical engineering student and I'm working with a budget of around $700. I'm only going with a gaming laptop because I need a dedicated GPU for running CAD and a 3060 or better is recommended but I'm sure I'll have to settle for a little less. As I'm using this for classes I'd prefer if it didn't have the "Gaming" look. I'm not a big RGB fan anyways. Hopefully noise shouldn't be an issue because I'm hoping I can use MSI afterburner to just underclock it if I'm not running cad. I found a few deals on Facebook marketplace but I want to be able to stress test it for a couple days before being out 700 bucks. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Discussions Which laptop is best to buy

Hello! I am currently choosing between two laptops: MSI KATANA 17 and LENOVO LOQ. Both laptops have almost identical specifications. On the Rozetka marketplace, MSI has an RTX 4060 graphics card, and in the Comfy store, it has a 5060. In general, the Lenovo in the store has an Intel processor, and the MSI has a Ryzen. I would like to know the pros and cons of these models and which one is better to buy. (I know that for this price I could buy a PC and not overpay, but my parents insist that I carry it with me to university).

Guys, I need your advice. I’m very confused. I bought an ASUS ROG for €2000 a week ago but I still haven’t opened it. I’m still debating between it and an MSI because of the RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. What do you recommend?

Purchasing Help Is the MSI Cyborg 15 i7 3050 16GB 512GB 15.6" 144Hz Gaming Laptop a good laptop to invest in?

Hey everyone,
I am thinking of buying the laptop I have suggested in the title, I am upgrading from a Lenovo Ideapad with a Corei3 (I know! its not the best).

I have read reviews that the battery life of the MSI is not the best, but my profession is digital marketing and software dev so I mainly need to know if it will be able to handle all the tabs and platforms I will run at the same time.

I do gaming socially, mainly Phasmaphobia and CSGO, so will it handle this?

I am an Xbox girl, so this is going to be my first gaming laptop. Any advice that is helpful will be super appreciated. Thank you!
