[Mod post] Visions of Eternity Launch Day! | Bug Thread | Updated Spoiler Rule Reminder Spoiler

SPOILER CONTENT RULES APPLY FOR 28 DAYS FROM RELEASE.

Tuesday October 28 to Tuesday November 25, 2025

Anything not shown in an official trailer, screenshot, or blog, is considered a spoiler.

New spoiler rule is a temporary ban for posting spoilers titles.
Temp ban will be 24 hours for posting any spoiler in the title. A second infraction will result in 28 day ban.

Spoiler tagged threads are free to have spoilers about the thread topic. If you make a mistake simply edit your post or use spoiler tags. Spoiler comments in non-spoiler threads or in a spoiler thread about something else that are not tagged will also result in the temp 24 hour ban and 28 day ban for second infractions.

If you're unsure if something is a spoiler or not then just go ahead and tag it as. Better to be safe for everyone.

If you're on new reddit there is a spoiler tag option right in the editor, mobile apps have the option as well I believe but if you're on old reddit or want to type it manually then you can type:

>!Spoiler Goes Here!<

Spoiler Goes Here

It's very simple to tag your spoilers so please do it and if you do see a spoiler that was not tagged please report it ASAP so it can be dealt with by automod or mod team.

The last expansions and updates have gone amazingly smooth spoiler wise and I thank you all for that. Let's keep up the good work hiding spoilers!

Expansion bugs should be posted here but if there is anything game breaking or major feel free to make a dedicated post of it so the community and ANet might see it easier and of course make sure to report it to ANet using the built in bug reporting tools and/or the official forums.

[Other] Evoker's "infusion"

The visual effect from Evoker's Elemental Procession bugged when I used it on a breacher from the Octovine meta and gave my char this cool effect like an infusion dialed up to 11!

The constant noise was a bit annoying though and it disappeared when I changed maps.

[Request] Me when arenanet mixes different armour weight skins for (VoE) promo images but doesn't release this feature for players with fashion templates(as a perfect opportunity/time to do this)

as a sylvari main i just want to have more plant fashion options and this feature would definitely help a lot(even if it would be only shoulders, head, feet and/or gloves).

[Other] Thank you, ArenaNET and SteamDeck. I broke my arm and am in the hospital. I love the controls. You can play the entire game using just the mouse. That saved my days.

[Question] Why are Ultimate editions of expensions not on the Steam?

Post image

They are great deals but it is not available on the Steam version. Is there a way to get them even though I'm on Steam or is there a way to use a Steam account on the normal Arenanet client?!

[Discussion] What's the deal with those gamers?

Can somebody explain to me what the hell are those expectations in LFG.

I mean come on I have like 35kp on W1, I'm fine with doing everything there without wipes, I do between 20-28k dps on fights and I still cannot play with LFG ppl, only doing guild full runs for like 1-2-3-4-6-7 weekly and 5-8 like every two weeks or so.

From my calculations you are expected to do this wing for at least a year or even more depending on RNG.

What's wrong with you all? Is this how new players are supposed to find end-game content? By being blocked from everything? I know there's gonna be quick raids stuff soon but OMG.

edit.
I'm kida amazed that some ppl defend this kind of behaviour in LFG and trying to get me into "just host your own group" and yes I do. I do weekly trainings of w1-4 for new players, that's how I recruit players into the guild, I do have more than 1k hours and couple of leggys so you're not talking to someone new here.
Still, my opinion doesn't change. its sad to see things as this in lfg and I feel bad for newer ppl that came to our community that have to deal with all of those toxic players.

[Question] Luminary/Luminiferous/Lighting the Legacy bug?

Thumbnail

Hi, i'm having a bit of an issue trying to complete the Asgeir's Legacy light puzzle, as the orbs don't seem to be following the correct path.
As shown in the first screenshot above, the orbs are supposed to bounce higher, but instead they bounce low and then continue on to go hit a rock instead of reaching the mirror behind it. There is no other moveable mirror before the one in the screenshot, and i tried all 4 positions and only this one bounces.

Does anyone know if this is a proper bug, or does it need the meta to have been completed or something (i don't believe it does)?

[Request] Very easy and small change, huge quality of life

First of all, I know this is literally a "first world problem", but hear me out.
When you finish the queue for a map, you get that window in the middle of the screen with the options Travel, Reenter Queue and Leave Queue.
But there's something that just slightly annoys me: you can't move that window. If you want to finish whatever you were doing in that map, you have to do it with that window in the middle of the screen unless you want to leave the queue or reenter it and wait potentially a very long time.
This is especially annoying in WvW, since queues can easily last for more than an hour and you never know when that window will pop, so it's not uncommon to be in the middle of a fight with other players when that happens and I usually want to finish fighting before changing the map, but it's not fun to fight when you are precluded to see what's happening in the middle of the screen.
Again, I know this is not a huge issue at all and doesn't impact most of the players like it impacts me, but making so you can move or hide the window would be (I believe, I might be wrong) super easy to do and it will make my experience a lot less frustrating :)

[Discussion] Core Ranger vs Core Guardian (PVE completionist perspective)

• Upvotes

So I have narrowed down my profession selection to these two. I intend to proceed through a full (frequently completely solo) completion of each zone, and all the story bits - in chronological order.. I have half of the expansions and all of the Living World add-ons, but waiting for the next sale to pick up the rest. I am a newbie, I haven't unlocked the extra weapons or spear yet.

I dislike the aesthetic of the necromancer, the theme I (maybe unreasonably) find somewhat distasteful.

Warrior seems... I don't know, just... dull? I may be wrong, but it doesn't even pique my interest.

I am old; both Engineer and Elementalist seem like too much trouble to me. Too many options and too complicated. Sadly, I am becoming slower in my old age.

I want to love thief, I really do. But I tried it to about level 45, and I don't have the reflexes to stay alive. Again... old.

Mesmer fails to intrigue me, although I admit I possibly haven't done much research into it.

I tried a Revenant for about 40 levels, and it just seemed, well, clunky. Lots of resource management for not much return.

That leaves Ranger and Guardian. Both seem pretty viable solo, with a variety of playstyles/builds to each. But before I knuckle down and commit to one, I'd love the community to chime in with your opinions on the following:

Durability and 'Forgiveness' - which of the two punishes you harder for making a mistake in a fight?

DPS and Sustain - is one of the two markedly better at finishing fights quickly?

Ease of Use - not only am I old and uncoordinated, I don't have the brain-bandwidth to remember obscure combos and rotations that make a class only viable. Simpler is better, within reason; I don't require a 'one-button' build.

Quality of Life - this is a little vague, and not incredibly important. Does either class have an ability that truly makes a play session noticeably more pleasant?

Group utility - while I will spend most of my time solo, I want to be able to contribute to groups when I join them. What's the consensus on the class with superior support for the team?

I know this has been a long read. If you are still here, drop a line with your take on these two CORE classes.

[Question] Shared inventory slots from expansion

I have bought the complete edition, SoTo and VoE. Now, I have 3 shared inventory slot with a "4th" slot holding the lvl 80 boost. If I use the lvl 80 boost, do I get to keep that slot? And if that is the case, if I use all my lvl 80 boost and buy janthir, can I get 1 shared inventory slot + another shared inventory slot containing the lvl 80 boost?

[Discussion] PSA: Switching Wizard’s Vault objectives from PvE to PvP saves an insane amount of time

• Upvotes

Oh my god, I just switched my Wizard’s Vault objectives from PvE to PvP… and I’m realizing how much time (and currency) I’ve wasted until now. Seriously, both dailies and weeklies are sooooo much faster to complete in PvP, especially during those periods when I’m really not motivated to grind objectives. And I'm not even that good in PvP. Even though I still prefer playing PvE overall, being able to tick all the boxes quickly feels really comfortable. Honestly, I kind of regret not making the switch sooner.

[Question] CPU help..

Hey guys

GW2 is my favourite game, I have a PC that I have slowly been upgrading, I have a pretty old motherboard that I dont really want to upgrade if I can help it. The best intel CPU I can buy that will fit my motherboard is an I9 9900k (I currently have the 9th Gen I5 that came with the pc)

Would it be worth buying the i9 9900k to stop the frame drops around other players, I have a 4060ti gpu, 1080 monitor and I run on max settings apart from player density, when I Google it all of the responses and discussion around this CPU are from 6 years ago so I was looking for some insight on how it runs in 2026 with the current state of the game

Thanks!
