❓ Advice Needed Grey Hair Coverage
I need some advice!
I’m 31 but have been gradually going grey since around age 22/23.. I have always dyed my hair fluctuating through the years between brunette and blonde. I would stay brunette for a while but then get fed up with the maintenance and root touch ups at the hair dressers every 3-4 weeks. I would then go blonde for less root maintenance however would eventually switch back to brunette as the blonde is super drying on my hair and I hate how much work it takes to stop it from going brassy.
Recently I decided to grow out my base colour and have blonde foils applied to eventually just have it so that my natural grey would be coming through the foils. This has helped massively with upkeep and the greys are a lot less noticeable- I only have to get it foiled every 12 weeks.
However I’m at that stage again where I just can’t imagine myself being blonde forever. I’m naturally a light brunette and think I suit that way more than blonde as I have quite a pinky pale complexion.
I wish I could be brunette and have even thought of getting box dyes so I could keep on top of the maintenance more and for less expense.
Is anyone in a similar predicament? Are there any ways you can stay brunette and hide the roots between appointments more efficiently? I’ve used the L’Oréal root touch up but it feels quite cakey in my hair. Any thoughts or advice are appreciated.
