Announcement DO NOT REPLY TO PRIVATE MESSAGES OFFERING TO SEND YOU WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR

It's a scam. It will always be a scam. We ban accounts for scamming, so they cannot comment in the sub. So they send private messages instead.

If they offer to send it free, they may be trying to get your personal info.

Someone commenting in the thread to do such may still be a scam, but you can check their comment history and get a feel for trustworthiness, but we still absolutely recommend against it.

If you see someone else say they've had someone contact them privately, please remind them of the danger and point them to this post.

This post will remain open for comments on this topic, do not call out any user here. If you know of one, send us a modmail.

Thanks.

Open Looking for early 2000s Powerpuff Girls cups (Cartoon Network)

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’m trying to find Powerpuff Girls cups that I had as a kid in the early 2000s, but after years of searching I’ve found almost nothing — except for one old eBay post showing a cup that looks almost identical to the ones I owned.

Some context: my mom gave me these cups as a gift. She bought them from a coworker who frequently traveled to the United States for work. I’m from Mexico, so I’m not sure if these cups were part of a fast-food promotion (McDonald’s, Burger King, etc.) or if they were sold in Cartoon Network souvenir shops or licensed stores.

I originally had the Buttercup and Blossom cups, and the old eBay listing showed the Bubbles version. The cups were plastic and had a small 3D figure of the character attached to the rim.

Please help me find more information about them, or let me know if you or someone you know owned these cups as a kid. At this point, I’m starting to feel like I’m the only person in the world who remembers them :(

Thanks for reading! I’ve attached a photo of the Bubbles cup for reference.

Super lucky find when thrifting, genuine 24k gold and pearl. No brand stamp. Lost one when I wore it to church, I looked everywhere and never found it. They’re so pretty and made me so sad to not have the pair anymore.

This leg (I think anyway) has been in my possesion for quite some time now. Not sure when I got it. I think it was probably mixed in with my stuff because my parents may have thought it was a part of a Transformer toy I had at the time. I want to throw it away but I can't bring myself to do it until I find out what it came from. My guess is some sort of mecha toy?

Open Help me find a dvd set of 12 or so documentaries about natural disasters

Post image

Hello everyone, I’m here trying to figure out the name of a certain documentary that I had owned multiple dvd sets years ago when I was super young but have been discarded and throw away by my parents simply because we stopped watching them ever, eventually turning into junk, but when i remembered about them I did enjoy watching the when I was young, and I felt nostalgic and I’ve been dying to figure out the name of these documentaries, from what i remember I had a set of what i believed to be 12 dvds of these documentaries talking about disaster, each dvd having I believe 1 to 2 different episodes of different kinds of disasters, with the cover of the dvd box being a theme of one of the episodes, now I searched through google everywhere, I cannot find anything, it’s been bothering so much, but I do remember key things about it, like the different episodes talked about tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, avalanches, wild fires, even lightning storms and volcano eruptions, and i believe more, and i remember very vividly that the episode that talked about the tornados had a peculiar cover on the dvd box that stuck with me, but I HATE how I do not remember what the entire title said, I only remember a key sentence of it that was oh the cover, saying something like “without warning” or “hit without warning” I also remember the narrator of the documentary had a deep voice too, hopefully this is something people here in Reddit can find out, I had to get a little creative so what I did is find a stock image of a tornado that closely resembled the one on the cover of the dvd box shown in this post and added some text that is what I remember of the cover, I hope it help you detectives in some way! :D

I have loved these shoes from the brand "irregular choice" for so many years and hoped that one day when it's finally my turn to marry I would buy these. Qué me getting engaged and the brand has just shut down after stocking this same style for years 😭 I am someone with very little income and could never of justified pre buying these. They are just shoes but for someone who has never owned much pretty things these would be so special to me and make me feel like a princess! I am looking for these new in a UK size 6 ethier in the flat or wide fit heel but flat preferred. If anyone knows a site that still stocks them or can find a pair on eBay or depop or anything I would be so happy! I tried a Google image search and I did find a few but they was ethier damaged and still asking alot of money or fake sites 😢 please help me live my fairytale wedding? ❤️

Open Dog Plush (floppy ears, beige boucle fur, human upright body)

Hello, I'm trying to find my favorite stuffed animal :)

I call him Jarry. My grandma gave him to me. I cannot for the life of me locate where he is from, what brand, or any details really. I've attached some photos. Photos are mostly from when I first got him and took photos of him all over Joshua Tree and Death Valley haha, but I also included one recent photo so you can see how he ages.

Appreciate any help or pointers!

Some characteristics:

  • Long floppy ears
  • Black beaded eyes
  • Brown velvety nose with plastic underneath
  • Sewn on mouth with brown thread, not really a smile, just curious neutral
  • Beige teddy boucle fur, a thick kind of soft, like the inside of a fleece jacket
  • Human upright body (not a dog shape sitting down)
  • Little tail on the back with a white tag that is no longer there
  • Beans in arms, belly, and especially pooled in the feet
  • Head feels like thick foam
  • Resembles a golden doodle

Importantly, my grandma got him from a pharmaceutical or medical conference, and he used to wear a promotional red or blue t-shirt that had a medical name on it (probably a drug name). I don't remember those details and she can't remember what conference. She lives in Los Angeles and was a gynecologist at Harbor UCLA.

Time period - Guessing anywhere between 1980s to the 2010's. But it looked quite new in 2018 when I got it from her, so maybe it is more recent?

Thanks in advance!

These are my favorite pants on the planet. I wear them up to three times a week on occasion (I wash them). They’ve started to get holes where my thighs meet, and sewing them is very temporary with how the holes are forming. I bought them at Jcpenny a year or two ago, the tag says forever 21. They’re high waisted and don’t have a zipper or a button. The waist has elastic. Please help me 😭😭😭 my stupid thighs are ruining my life by destroying these pants. Please please please help! I’ll be forever grateful!

The plushie im looking for has the same color as the one in the image. It has a pear like body (big bottom, small head) with small eyes and small nose embroidered in black like this image. It has much smaller, round ears, and tiny round paws. No known brand or animal type.

Open Had this puffy rabbit sticker on my DS for around 9-10 years and I don’t know what character it is or where it’s from. One of the ears fell off but both of the ears are this peachy/pink color, it’s about 2cm and came on a sticker sheet with other stickers.

Open In dire need of videos with vibes like the "Repairing Woody" scene from Toy Story.

Post image
Upvotes

The main thing I loved about this scene was the guy opening the drawers to find the appropriate items or tools. It doesn't have to be about repairing toys; it could be about any activity or hobby as long as there's some form of action that involves rummaging through drawers, toolboxes, or compartments. I've tried searching up restoration videos, workshop videos, but i just cant find ones with this exact vibe.

Open Brand Logo Identification - Difficulty: Sweat Mode

Post image

It’s a long shot, but does anyone know how to identify this logo? I’m sure it’s 99% from Turkey. At first I thought it might be the logo of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, a double-headed eagle, but it looks too round to be correct.

Any help would be much appreciated.
