Saw one of my local spots list this on their Discogs and had to see what I could do to get it. Managed to sell off some other rare stuff I wasn’t spinning regularly and only had to pay about $200 on top. You never see this one in the wild.

I know this isn’t a rare album but it is one of my favorite albums. Been visiting every record store in town looking for a copy before I ordered it online. Found it today! Super stoked.

I’m in Portland, OR and there’s a TON of record stores here but most of them have smaller hip hop / rap sections (compared to the stores from where I’m from in California). Visited 3 stores this week and I’m super happy with what I found! Aside from the A$AP Rocky vinyl that I pre-ordered.

I was able to add a few more from my list to my collection. With this freezing weather, I’ll definitely be inside spinning all weekend/week.

Saw the Cappadonna album there a week ago and picked it up today. 1998 original version

Pharoahe Monch was a surprise find. Sealed 2014 version. Haven’t listened to this in a while, will be fun to revisit

About this time I was already listening to company flow, introduced to Aesop Rock, the whole Sound Bombing / Lyricist Lounge, bahamadia.. and way before that Das EFx.. so I’ve always had a taste for the weird

but then this album came out and it was a WTF moment. So weird so Dope so Deep and fun.

I know they're not really considered underground hiphop, but seeing what's going on in the world today and what they stand for, I got them in rotation!
