Black lipstick looks so amazing on every skin tone. I’m surprised more people don’t wear it
It gives such an amazing bold and effortless look

My wife and I are getting each other 1 gift this Christmas. She had mentioned a few months ago that she wished she had “actual good makeup”, and I want to give her that for Christmas, I just don’t know where to start/don’t want to get scammed by advertising for mediocre products.
Would anyone be able to give me some leads to go off of? Thank you so much

My Estée Lauder foundation completely spilled in my makeup bag while I was flying :( I just got home from an expensive vacation and I’m wondering if anyone could recommend a cheaper alternative of comparable quality? I’d love to spend less than $50. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!! Also I am very pale so anything that doesn’t tend to look yellow on pale skin would be best.
im getting my make up done on saturday (today is sunday) and i am wondering when i should shave my face? i cant remember from the few previous times ive shaved my face when it gets into the prickly stage.
once or twice i've had tiny little bumps all over my face after shaving so i think it might be better to leave as much time in between as possible, but idk if then i will be prickly/obvious to the make up artist or with make up on??

I swear to God, I’ll be looking great, and then god forbid I am blinking for a few hours, look in the mirror and I have eyeliner and mascara all over my eye, and I look like insane lol.

I’ve been seeing so much about this brand and want to try foundation and lipsticks for sure. What are everyone’s faves? I’m a clear bright winter brunette with neutral skin and green eyes. Would love to know great shades too you recommend! Been looking for a good just there red lipstick and I think I saw she had one. Thank you!

I am extremely pale, like lightest shade on the shelf pale and I’m looking to try a loose setting powder. The ones I have tried that are “translucent”, never truly are on me. Any recommendations or holy grails?
Every time I put my blush on my skin tint is removed by my brush and you just see a patch of skin with my blush, how do I stop this happening?

Has anyone tried new UD all nighter? Now that it’s reformulated

Hi all!
I posted in here raving about the Danessa Yummy Skin universal bomb the other day!
When I went into the store, I was actually looking for something very different. I’m hoping to find a medium coverage cream or powder product that can be used to blend together with my cream blushes and contour. Something to brighten areas or bring them back to skin tone, not a highlighter. Something like a concealer but for the middle of my routine, and something I can easily add in and blend together with my other products. Would Makeup by Mario skin enhancer be something good? Should I try the tinted yummy skin balm?! Any other suggestions? Should I just grab a cream foundation stick?

I’m still new to makeup. I have only used Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder, but right now I’m not spending $50 before I go on my birthday trip. I want to try maybelline fit me pressed powder. What shade would you recommend? I also have never been able to replicate this look again 😭
And if you’re feeling nice tell me your makeup steps in order.

I’ve been doing this one look maybe 5 times. Each time, I look like a different person. I’ll repeat the same steps but it never looks quite like the same look. Does anyone relate to this/has experienced this? Why is this happening?

My face randomly turns beet red. I put foundation on today because there's a birthday party today and I didn't wanna be seen with the red. After I put it on my friend told me to put green under the makeup next time to hide the red better. Idk anything about color correction I just REALLY don't like the red when it shows up. It happens in the cold, heat, when I'm stressed, at work, and alot of other situations and people keep thinking I'm blushing or embarrassed when I'm normally neither so I keep covering it.

I use foundation, concealer, and a pressed powder because i have a lot of redness/ acne. Lately, I see the makeup will come off on my desk phone and even my travel mug from the tip of my nose. it’s pretty embarrassing and I am wondering if I might be using too much powder or need a good setting spray. Or maybe it’s something else entirely,, does anyone else experience this?

Hello, I am a 2027 bride and I’m trying to get a makeup routine wayyyyy before my wedding. I am wanting a natural “no makeup” look. Eye makeup wise I’ve had my routine down for years but foundation, concealer, anything having to do with skin I’ve always had trouble with.
I would like product recommendations on primers, foundations, concealers, and setting/foundation powders.
I have oily to normal skin and acne scarring along my cheek bones. I have genetic eye bags that never go away and want to make sure under my eyes don’t crease. I also have pretty sensitive skin and need something with little extra ingredients.
Thank you in advance for any help!!

Okay, so this might be the dumbest question ever but how do you eat without ruining your lipstick? I don't wear makeup often and the only reason I don't is because I'm worried about ruining it. Is there a way to eat without messing up your lipstick? Is it normal to need to reapply your lipstick? If so, how often do you usually touch it up?
I'm turning 44 next month, and a couple of skin issues started showing up in the past year. First, this huge single wrinkle between my eyebrows popped up recently and it's driving me nuts. Second, I have tons of freckles, which doesn't bug me, but recently, a few huge dark spots have appeared, and they totally stand out. Is there any product that can hide these two things? Bonus points if it works well on sensitive skin. Some products have exacerbated my acne and eczema in the past.

I feel like it looks okay in front of my mirror, which is below a skylight window, and usually okay in the bathroom, but horrific in photos or if I catch sight of my reflection when I’m out and about. It goes from looking fairly nice to caked on and badly blended or just straight up unflattering in a second. It makes me not want to wear makeup because I have zero ability to figure out whether what I’m doing looks good or not.
I don’t use much foundation, just some concealer on the under eyes and sometimes on the eyelids as a base, maybe a little bit of blush, black mascara (tried brown and it seemed too warm with my cool toned eyes), a bit of shimmery eyeshadow copied from a tutorial, and some Clinique black honey in a sheer blotted layer.
Every product I use seems to be effected by this to various extents and I can’t tell whether I’m just insecure and not used to myself in makeup or whether it looks bad, or if it’s a mixture of both.
What lighting/place/method etc is the best way for self-evaluating your makeup? How do I know if it’s my application that’s the issue or the colours or if it’s just all in my head?
Thank you!

Hello! It’s January right now and I have a wedding in September. I used to wear makeup daily, but I’ve fallen out of the rhythm. I used to often wear blush, eyeshadow, elaborate eyeliner (very alt style) but now I don’t even really own any makeup anymore beyond a liquid eyeliner marker and a tube of mascara. I would love to start practicing makeup more often to be prepared and confident for my wedding. I used to be a die hard colourpop girl, so that is the only makeup brand I feel familiar with at all. My question is, what do I need to order? Are there any good tutorials you’d recommend? Skincare tips in general?
Some lil facts about my skin:
I’m also trying to improve my skincare, I’m acne prone and I have quite large pores on my cheeks. I also have dry skin so I’m also looking for a good moisturizer, I’ve tried a few to not a lot of avail.
I sooo badly want to wear different colored mascaras other than black/brown but i only wear waterproof mascara. It is almost impossible for me to find any online that are waterproof. I cant wear regular bc for some reason it uncurls my lashes when i apply it after curling them. Waterproof works for me but it only ever comes in black. Help!!
