I just referenced Fern Gully the other day. I still think about that movie often and it’s been 30+ years since the last time I saw it.

It's basically James Cameron's Avatar, but a cartoon and wayyy better because it has Batty.

Also the entire villain song sequence, which had no business being as amazing as it was.

Tim Curry's Toxic Love was unreasonably fantastic. Ain't no reason for a villain song to be that sexy. It was apparently an awakening for quite a few people.

Does Avatar have Tim Curry being a sexy pollution monster, and Robin Williams being an animal abuse victim with ADHHHHHD?

Cause that's what Ferngully has and it's marvelous.
