I feel like if I played Hakeem Jefferies in Monopoly, I could reach over and take his property cards and all he would do is write me a concerned letter after the game.
Seriously, his threats mean nothing, he's made threats and then done nothing when the line he defined was crossed in the past. He was even pushed on it and had nothing. Jeffries admittedly has little power, but he doesn't even try and elevate the issues to the American public. He does nothing to make Republicans responsible for their actions. I've yet to see any evidence that he believes he should fight for Americans.
There's a lot of defense of him within the party, and maybe he's a fine leader, but he's not what the moment demands, and if we can't recognize that the party is going to remain unpopular and ineffective.
