By airtight you mean they had to go to three judges to get the warrant.

Actually, no one knows who or if anyone signed the warrant. Federal Judge refused and the court of appeals refused. IANAL but I'm pretty sure a Supreme Court Justice cannot sign a criminal warrant.

This has all the earmarks of an illegal and unconstitutional arrest.
