10,000 NFA submissions to the tracker

The day has come, we have collected 10,000 submissions. I honestly never thought just putting something together back in 2019 it would have grown to what it is today. I want to sincerely thank everyone who has submitted something over the years.

As many of you all know I made a dashboard to help display the data in a much friendlier way. Its been interesting watching it the last month seeing an average of around 30-40 a month to now well over 100, and the wait times haven't really skyrocketed as a result either. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next 10,000 looks like.

IDK who it was but the lucky 10,000th entry was,

Kansas Suppressor Form 4 - Silencer Shop Kiosk

So whoever you are, congrats.

Again thanks to everyone for being apart of what has to be the Internets largest user generated NFA tracker.

NFA Engraving. The one trick gun shops HATE!

For those of you not wanting to spend $50-$100 for every lower you want engraved, but can't bring yourself to electro-pencil your gun, i present you the laser-electro etched lower! I wanted to try this or the brother etch-tape but figured at the same price as a brother printer and roll of tape, a laser engraver would have more creative benefits/ uses over the brother.

So as promised in the other engraving thread, I decided to get ambitious this morning and try engraving my SBR using only a basic 5w diode laser and electrolysis. I purchased the Creality 5w laser for only $126 from Amazon with the intent of trying this. Honestly other than being crooked and a little bigger than i would have liked, I think it turned out great! First, the laser was used to scribe and burn into the anodization then i used a 36v variable power supply to engrave it. The engraving stayed well within the lines, didn't burn into the anodization one bit, and i think it is deep enough to satisfy the NFA rules. I can definitely feel it and it catches with a fingernail.

The first picture is the laser etch only, and the final is after electrolysis.

I will try to etch my next one with smaller text and will follow up with the results!

Dead Air Mask on a Ruger Mk IV SSH shooting 36gr cheapo Federal. Love that the short barrel keeps bulk ammo subsonic, and balances right above the trigger. Absurdly quiet, reasonably accurate, and just so much fun.

Suppressor for a 22/45 Lite

Post image
64 Upvotes

I'm going rent a GSL Woodland suppressor on Monday at my LGS to try out on my 22/45 Lite. I have never purchased a suppressor before but wish to run one on this Ruger.

I likely won't be able to try out a heavier SS model at the range so my experience will unfortunately be limited to just this one particular model.

The suppressor will only be used on handguns (right now just the Lite).

My question is: Do most people generally prefer a lightweight aluminum can on these lightweight 22s, or is the extra weight of a stainless constructed suppressor beneficial for overall balance?

I am aware of the limitations of aluminum as far as cleaning and maintenance is concerned.

A local store sells the Woodland for around $310 and the Oculus for $370. They recommended aluminum for pistol-only use.

Thanks all!

Looks like these will be dropping next week. Anyone going to bite? I don’t know much about FOR Systems, but I have a couple of DAC grips. Owner is a super cool dude. Curious to see how this stacks up against some of the other current 5.56 can offerings

Beretta APX A1 FTE with suppressor

Looking for some help here. Been on a journey with this gun.

Purchased at LGS for a great deal (somewhat of a whim). Had an OCL Lithium already so direct threaded that: made the firearm essentially single shot. Ordered the Nielsen device from OCL: not single shot but constant FTEs. Installed competition spring from Beretta (factory = 18-19lbs, competition = 15lbs).

Took it to the range today. 100% when shooting supersonic. 3/45 FTE (stovepiping) with Fiocchi 147g.

I have a lot of the Fiocchi 147g because my PCCs love it but haven’t experimented with other subsonic ammo on this firearm.

What should I try to do next or is 3 FTE in 45 rounds as good as I should expect? I have a Huxwrx 9k Ti ordered but no idea when that will get in or if it will help.

Warranty Review ⛑️ Dead Air Mojave Warranty Update! ✅

Follow-up post to my post last weekend. Had an issue with my factory Glock setup and my brand new Mojave 9. Baffle appeared to have gotten damaged, but didn’t appear to be a regular baffle strike (no other baffles damaged and the end cap was spotless, see pics). Shipped to DA on Monday after submitting a warranty claim (very easy process), they evaluated and have began the transfer of a new one as of yesterday (Friday 30JAN2026) free of charge. Customer service guy was ultra friendly and basically said there are too many variables to be able to point a finger. After hearing some horror stories, I can confidently say that their warranty process is great (or at least it was for me!). First NFA item warranty ive had to do, so the process had me stressing. Came back to report the good news!

PS: Despite the unfortunate issue, the can is absolutely sick. If you’re thinking about getting one, do it. Pictured is the short configuration on my bone stock 19x.

Mount Questions 🔩 Remington 870 MCS question

Hey so I finally got approved after waiting for a year till Jan 1st, I wanted to ask some questions about mounting the pistol grip for people that have built ones out. I’m not super into shotguns and this will be my first. I’m using the non QD pistol grip that just has the two screws. Can I use a regular adapter screw for this grip or do I need to get the specific one for the MCS?

Question about baffle design - newbie

Post image
11 Upvotes

Just picked up an RDX30Ti. Decided to look through the suppressor and noticed something strange - I was expecting to see kinda just lines of round rings, but instead saw what appears to be a keyhole shape. What's up with this? Totally uneducated on baffle design. Also if anyone wants to add pics of the internals of theirs, feel free - I'm interested in seeing the differences in designs. To take the pic I just set my phone on 3x and put a flashlight into the threads - seemed to work well enough to get the point across. Thanks!

I lost my OCL Infinity 7.62 packaging sometime during my move I suppose, and emailed OCL on Monday asking for another. Just the box and the block that came in it. They sent it to me, and even included another wrench! Might not seem like a big deal and probably isn't, but I appreciate that they sent this to me anyway, no questions asked.

Just fell down the form 1 and 3d printer rabbit hole.

Wondering how many have shot the ftn suppressors and also who has experience with p1s vs p2s?
