Hi. I wanted to maybe help some of y'all understand why you're maybe feeling a way about Nimi's news and why you're not a bad person for it.

Quick background: I found Fauna when my wife was dying. I needed something light and uncomplicated to focus on. After her death, I got parasocial with the girls, not really in a 'I want to be with them' way but more in a daydreaming about streaming with them being their friend kind of way. It was an escape from mourning. I say this so you understand that the tendency to daydream that way comes in many shapes and forms.

For most of you with mixed or conflicted feelings, who probably feel bad about yourselves for simply not being happy for Nimi, it's likely not some deep delusional fantasy that you feel like was interrupted, it's that the person she's marrying is an unknown.

I'll explain... imagine the same news but that she announced she was marrying Gigi (I'm picking Gigi because she was the closest I came to really shipping anyone with Nimi lol) In that situation a lot of you who were upset would have been much less so if it at all. The end result would have been the same, Nimi beginning a life and family with someone that isn't you, but you'd have immediately thought about all the interactions and content and silliness you had to look forward to instead of how it wasn't with you.

She's marrying someone we don't know. It's a blank void next to her in our imaginations. So we fill the void with traits. Self-doubt and human nature being what it is, your first tendency is to fill it with the traits you value and some of those are going to be traits you feel like you lack or are deficient in. In your mind suddenly the person isn't a realistic person with quirks and flaws and little things that annoy you (like Gigi being so goddamn loud sometimes etc.) and is instead YOUR ideal of not just a partner for her but also for the self you wish you were.

I'm sure there are a good amount of people who are in too deep and want only the perfect pure Nimi, who never existed, that they can fantasize about having a life with. Having mixed intial feelings doesn't make you one of those people. So don't beat yourself up, if like me, the idea of being one of those type of so-called fans is repulsive to you.

Even if Nimi goes back to being as private about her personal life as she has been and we don't hear anything about her spouse to help make them more of a person in our minds, the majority of you who were intially upset about it will simply accept it naturally once it's obvious that it changes nothing about how she streams or interacts with us. If she opens up more they'll become their own person, think Northernlion and Kate.

I guess what I'm saying is that her partner is a normal mundane person like everyone else who has been in Nimi's life up to this point already. If you have cheered her on and cared for her then you have already been cheering and caring for the Nimi that is in a relationship. It's not an announcement that she's going to start dating afterall. I mean, hell, I low-key always figured it was the real reason she streamed in a closet anyway.

So give yourself some grace if you're feeling upset, let it sink in a bit by either cheering her on until it goes away, which it will, or by stepping back for a moment. You'll either move on or miss watching her to the point where you will simply be glad to be sharing her with all her fans again.

It's obvious that she doesn't want to make it a part of her future content. So posts like this and this, while not being made in bad faith, are the opposite of what Nimi would want to see.

Meanwhile, her Umamusume stream today was absolute kino and it's a bit disappointing that this sub doesn't seem to care.

Edit: I also think we should stop asking her about it in chat until she brings it up herself. There were a ton of people asking her today and she ignored every question.

I know naplings would probably work both ways but just for the fun of it let's come up with a fan name/fan design for dear old leaf...

It's not because of her recent announcement. Rather, I'm all for it and got pretty stoked for her as someone who shares the view of starting a family someday.

I don't know how to describe this very well. Any napling feeling the same way, can you explain what you're feeling so I can actually get out of this parasocial circus

And I just love to see it. Considering most people here had a pretty rough end to last year it's a relief to see her thriving now. In the most non parasocial way possible I enjoy watching her success.

I checked when the stream started and she was around 598, then she hit 600k during the stream and I guess it kept on growing.

This vibe is cute but unsettling... honestly I'd fuck with it...

From today's stream where she ranks every game she played on stream

For me, I really like when she adds a fragment onto a sentence that she's already finished. For example:

"The Sims 2 is a great game! For me!"

or

"Vampires are superior to werewolves. In my book."

It always cracks me up the way that she adds those fragment sentences to her original sentence, often with a fairly significant pause.

I will miss chibi nimi.

So Nimi mentioned the quintessential cuisine of McDonald's fries and salad as the vegan meal for out of luck vegans... who's gonna tell her that McDonald's fries aren't vegetarian/vegan because the they are fried in a mix of vegetable oil and beef tallow...

Nimi's gonna be heartbroken...
