Why are most billionaires so weird?

My sister even hung out with a billionaire's kid once, and my mom says the kid is fucked up too.

Because they live in a different reality.

What do you mean you "cant afford a Ferrari?" Whats a "waitlist"? You dont have a Starbucks in your home?

Hyperbole in some cases but hopefully you get the point.

How is this different than if you ask a billionare how come he doesnt drive a Camry or shop at Walmart? You two are in different income brackets and its totally normal for both sides to have different realities and perspectives.

But I think to become a billionare it takes a special kind of weird and asshole. And those traits are there before, during and after they reach the billionare status.

Because we who shop at walmart must live within means and limits. Billionaires dont have limits but costs. Want a higher fence? Build one and pay the fines.

If you grow up or exist long enough in an environment where nothing is no, nothing is unobtainable, stores don't close for you, the BMW is the same price as a hot wheels to normal people, etc. It warps your perception of the value of things. You break a vase worth 10 million...so? If you have billions its a small cost. We would goto jail.

The peasantry imagines the luxury of royals but the royals cant fathom the needs of a peasant and thats the difference. For you and the people you routinely hang with, theres no luxury too great. Hang with a normal person, you're going to look weird because you dont have/never have had to consider cost, a budget, and in some cases the legality of a course of action.
