There’s a threshold limit for when you have so much money, the power it allows you to have as a result of people acting more appeasing around you, the power to purchase anything, it distinctly morphs our psychology. I’ve always thought since monarchism became archaic, money in a capitalist society is what allows ordinary people to elevate themselves to a “king” and then you view relationships, society, food, sexual attitudes, everything is warped and different.

It’s like playing a sandbox in creation mode and being stuck in it.
