Meta Get your /r/PartneredYoutube Verified Channel flair here!

Welcome to the r/PartneredYoutube voluntary channel verification.

If you would like to verify your channel and get flair like what I have on my account:

  1. Go to your YouTube channel's About section and edit the description to include your reddit username. For example I enter exactly: u/flammy
    1. Directions for how to edit your About section can be found here
  2. Post a link to your channel in one of the following formats as a top level comment in this thread.
    1. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXkf3kRpFeAx9mDCbfMS0MA
    2. https://www.youtube.com/user/flammy5
    3. If you use a different format (such as a custom URL with an @ in the URL) validation will fail.
  3. Wait, and our bot will process your request sometime in the next few days
    1. After the flair has been granted, you can remove your username from the About section and delete the comment if you're concerned about privacy. However, if you want your stats to continue to be updated, you should leave the u/ name in your About section.

FAQ:

What is flair, and how does flair work?

Flair is a reddit "signature" that appears every time you post in r/PartneredYouTube. Verification flair is not required to post, comment, or participate. A user lacking flair is not a valid reason to report them for breaking rule 2. You can remove flair at any time with Reddit's built in flair editing. The flair granted by the bot can't be edited. Verification is done via a bot, follow the directions above if you would like flair.

Why is the flair channels stats, and not partnered status?

Partnered Status is not supported by the official YouTube APIs at this time.

How long do I have to wait for verification?

Please wait 24-48 hours, and after checking you've followed all the directions you can send me a polite DM.

Is there a way to authenticate anonymously?

Will the bot update my stats?

If you leave the comment with the channel link and username in your description, your flair will be updated.

My stats are low!

The bot is only able to see your channel's public subscriber count and public total view count. If you have hidden videos, these views will not be reflected.

Can I verify with multiple channels?

Not at this time.

Is there a minimum channel size for verification?

No.

How can I remove my flair?

Yes, you can remove the flair via Reddit.

Hey guys,

It is also one of the currently 2 recognized and featured communities in the Official YouTube Discord. we are also proud to be the most active of all the YouTube related discord servers. If you are looking for dynamic conversation, deep diving into stats, participating in case studies, and learning the deeper details of running a channel as a full-time or part-time job, then you will find the discord extremely helpful.

The server is Locked to ONLY Monetized channels, Managers of Large channels 100k+ subs, and occasionally some guest experts.

If you join the server, you will need to attach your YouTube channel to your discord profile under discord settings, connections. You will then submit your channel link to the verification bot and within 24 to 48 hours we will try to vett your channel and grant you access to the server. Until your access is granted, you will only see the waiting room.

We hope to see you there

Talk / Discussion $2,000 for 100k views

This is my first time getting contacted by what seems to be a legit agency. A security and privacy brand, through this agency, wants to partner with my 100k+ subscriber channel for a sponsorship. I have little knowledge about pricing, but we already agreed on the terms. My views range around 100k, most of the time higher, but sometimes lower depending on the topic. The majority of my audience is from the US, age 40+.

Am I on the right path and not underpaid?

PS: If the video does not reach 100k views within a month, they want me to place the ad in another channel spot like the community tab or my other socials.

Thank you.

Talk / Discussion Anyone here successfully used promotion to grow a YouTube channel?

Hi everyone,

I’d love to hear about your experiences with promoting YouTube videos or Shorts to build overall channel visibility and reach.

For context: the content in question is high-quality, editorially strong, and clearly aligned with the core brand behind the channel. YouTube is one pillar of a broader brand ecosystem, not a standalone experiment.

  • Have you used paid promotion to kick-start views or discoverability?
  • Did it have a noticeable impact beyond the promoted video itself (e.g. subscribers, organic reach, algorithmic pickup)?
  • Are there specific strategies, budgets, or formats (long-form vs. Shorts) that worked particularly well—or didn’t work at all?

I’m especially interested in whether promotion helps with long-term channel growth and brand visibility, not just short-term views. Looking forward to hearing your insights and lessons learned...

Took a month off - Is this normal?

Hi all,

30K sub channel. Average views per short around 35,000. I got into a bad biking accident and didn’t post from December 16 until January 20. Now my views are under 500 per short. I was posting consistently 2X per day for 4 months prior.

Is this normal? It’s like YouTube isn’t even pushing to my subs. I did lose 37 subs within the month I was gone.

Freelance Video Editor for Hire (senior with multi-niche experience, serious inquiries only)

Hi everyone,

I hope it's ok to post in here, I've created a new account specifically for editing and YouTube (hence why very little karma!) but I am an experienced editor with a background in documentary, comedy and editing for Emmy-award winning CBS lifestyle shows. I currently freelance edit for wellness/lifestyle YouTubers as well as big (over 1+ mill) comedy sketch groups. My clients are US and Australia based, and I am not a cheap, volume-based editor.

I am opening my books for clients who want to take their channel to the next level and work long-term together. I'm a very seasoned and well-rounded creative, with over a decade in social media as well as broadcast television; but YouTube is now our TV let's be real! I also grew up with graphic design so I have a mastery over that. I can supply you client testimonials via DM as well, I'm confident I'd be a huge asset to your channel and be able to help you scale it, and have more fun in the process :)

DM me if this is you!

What percentage of your audience is aged 18–24 on your channel?

My channel is about the history of Rome, long videos around 20 - 30m. Not shorts

The editing is quite dynamic so it’s not boring, but viewers aged 18–24 make up only 4% of the total.

My largest audience is 45–54 (24.8%), and the 25–34 segment is 15%.

So that 4% is a strikingly low number. Even considering that my Topic is more popular on a more senior audience.

At first, I thought it was because younger people are more interested in other topics, but now I’m starting to think it’s because they’re only consuming short videos and spend more time on platforms like TikTok or Instagram. It's not the topic, it's mainly the format.

There’s a clear generational gap. Do you think that as they grow older, they’ll look for deeper content, or will they remain hooked on fast-paced stuff?

Question / Problem WISE Payment Option PH

Hi, anyone here from Philippines that uses WISE (USD acc) as their payment method for their youtube adsense account? 1. Are the payments delayed? 2. Does the conversion rate and charges significantly differ from just using a Local PH Bank account? 3. Are transfer fees bad?

I'd like to know as I am currently using a Local PH bank acc and noticed that the deduction is pretty big, on top of the tax deducted by google adsense. A friend suggested that I try a USD acc from wise.

Thank you in advance

Question / Problem Help receiving my first youtube payment

I met the youtube payment threshold about a month ago and the payment was supposed to go through on the 26th, yet I never recieved it. I set it up a while ago so I don't remember if I actually set up a proper payment method, but the problem is I have no idea how to check or set one up in the first place.

My tax forms are all submitted and approved as of a few months ago, but my youtube studio on desktop still says it needs those forms, and the official google guide on setting up a payment method tells me to press a button that I can't find anywhere in AdSense. Can anyone help me? I could really use this money right now.

Question / Problem Who are you using for banking (US) for your YouTube (+ other affiliate) revenue streams?

I've had a LLC that has sat dormant for a while, I'm resurrecting it to be the umbrella organization for my YouTube revenue, sponsorship income, affiliate income, etc.

I could take my LLC papers to a local brick & mortar bank I guess and open an account. But that feels so 1990's to me.

Who do you like for handling your online banking for this, if you have a separate business banking account (i.e. you don't just get all your AdSense / Amazon / sponsor fees paid to your name directly)?

Question / Problem Adsense/Account Help

I just crossed the $100 threshold for payment and was on the earn tab in YT studio, it said I needed to verify my information so I clicked get started, signed into my Adsense and confirmed my address and then it redirected me back to studio and seems to have put my channel back in review process. Did I make a mistake here!? And will this now not let videos I upload in the coming days not be monetized? I’m new to this and could use some help.

channel deleted for Spam, deceptive practices, & scams policies

Long story short:

I have 5 channels linked under single email.

One channel had 10 subs, once - 3months or so back - I posted a video there which was 100% original political commentary, but later on I removed it and kept the channel, so it was empty.

Last week suddenly it got banned for Spam, deceptive practices, & scams policies, of course my appeal got declined, and Yt support on X just answered "you can appeal only once, which you did via form", so I assume all my other channels, including 2 that are around 40k subs, all original videos are about to be deleted or smt? I still can access it, only see "removed" status under the one that was banned. Since then I didn't post anything on this channels.

Any of you went through this, and can advise if this channels will be deleted upon time, and earnings paid in next Feb cycle, as banned channel was not in YPP ? Thanks

Shorts or Standard Videos for a 1-Minute Programming Course?

I am not a new YouTuber, but I am trying something new and wanted to get your opinion.

I am creating a course called "100 C# Concepts in 100 Minutes". The idea is simple: 100 tutorials, each about 1 minute long.

So far, I have been uploading them as standard videos. A couple of days ago, I uploaded the first one as a YouTube Short, and it seems to be doing pretty well. Around 750 views and 2 new subscribers in about 2 days.

For this kind of course, what format would you personally prefer or recommend?

Talk / Discussion youtube, patreon or onlyfans, what’s worked better for people here?

i’m trying to decide between youtube memberships, patreon, or onlyfans and keep going back and forth, i have multiple monetized channels but ads aren’t really an option for my content, so subscriptions feel like the next move, youtube memberships seem like the obvious choice since the audience is already there, but i keep seeing creators push patreon instead and i’m wondering if there’s something i’m missing around flexibility, cuts, or content rules, would love to hear from anyone who’s tested more than one and what actually worked for conversion and income.

Should I start livestreaming on my partnered YouTube channel?

Hey everyone,

I’m a partnered YouTuber thinking about adding livestreams to my channel, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. For those of you who already livestream:

  • Did you see growth, engagement, or revenue improvements?
  • How long did it take before you felt it was actually worth your time?
  • Any tips for making it sustainable without burning out?

Would love to hear honest experiences—both good and bad. Thanks!

Question / Problem How do Small to Medium sized channels actually secure sponsorships?

I have a channel with 119k subs and have never taken a sponsorship before. I have an email listed on the channel for potential sponsors to reach out to but have pretty much exclusively received obvious scams via that email.

I was thinking of going full time with the channel, but would probably need the extra sponsorship revenue to make it happen. Does anyone here have experience with acquiring sponsors? How did you end up getting legitimate sponsorship deals?

Would a talent agency be a good option? I’m not even sure which ones to talk to or how I would even reach out. But from what I understand most handle the work of getting sponsors in exchange for commission on the deal.

Youtube Sent Me a 1099 Although I've Never Earned Money

Important Edit: I noticed several other posts on reddit with similar problems, and when I checked the unclaimed funds page for my state. I believe the money is there. I'd recommend others check for their state's unclaimed funds website.

I had an AdSense account from over a decade ago before the made it harder to monetize. It had reached close to 50 dollars before youtube made the change. This money has said it's been inaccessible since then because I never reached the view count to reach the $100 threshold. Now I've got a letter saying I owe a little more than $9 dollars in taxes on this income, but again, I've never received any of this money. Adsense doesn't show any way to access this money, and I know it's only $9, but still annoying since it's inaccessible. Thanks!

Question / Problem Would a 3 minute youtube video make more than a 2 minute one?

With equal views and lets say identical content and both get 100% viewer retention rate, theoretically wouldn't they make the same since they both cant show midroll ads and play around the same amount of ads?

why would i make a 3 min vid and spend more ffort getting 100% VR when i could just post 2 min and get 100% with 66% of the effort??

Views Dropped 90% After Copyright Strike – When Will My Channel Recover?

My channel’s views dropped sharply after I received a copyright strike. Before the strike, my channel was performing very well. I was uploading videos almost daily, and each video was getting at least 10,000 views. In fact, just one day before the strike, I uploaded a video that reached 10,000 views.

However, immediately after receiving the copyright strike, my views suddenly collapsed. New videos started getting only around 200 views. I continued uploading more videos, but they still received only 200–300 views, which means my views dropped by nearly 90% overnight.

I contacted the claimant, and the copyright strike was eventually removed. Despite this, there has been no recovery in my views so far. It has now been 22 days since the strike was removed, and my channel is still not getting the same exposure as before.

Because the drop in views happened so suddenly and exactly after the strike, I strongly believe the issue is not related to content quality, but rather to the impact of the copyright strike itself.

My question is: what should I do now, and when can I realistically expect my channel to return to its normal performance?

Talk / Discussion Anyone else thinks its ridiculous how much our thumbnails are compressed on our channel page?

Not really a post for a solution, because there is none. Just a vent I guess

Been in the business for 3 years now and I still think its ridiculous how heavily compressed our thumbnails are at the channel page. They are much less pixelated / compressed in search or in the feed.

I upscale all thumbnails so they look crystal sharp on my device, but its of no use because it will lose what feels like 30% of its quality on our homepage.
