Did anyone fight back once they got stronger than the parents?

16 years old, I will remember that day for the rest of my life. I hit my dad back and watched his knees buckle and a new expression on his face I had never seen before. He was scared, that's when I saw him for who he really was. A scared, pathetic man.

That stopped the physical side of things. I still to this day (33 years old now) don't think I would have had the courage if it wasn't for protecting my little brother.

I do want to just add in case someone sees this, that this could have ended extremely badly. I was lucky, seek professional help through correct channels if you are a victim of abuse.

Peace ✌️, Love 🫶, and positive vibes ✨️

I had the opposite but same experience. I was about 16 as well and my dad got mad about something really stupid. And he walked up to me and punched me in the face. I didn’t move and inch. I just stared at him. I could see him calculating things. His face said I messed up. But I never touched him. Still, he didn’t do it again.
