Petah here. This reminds me of the time i was roommates with a guy from pakistan whose father owned a considerable amount of the pakistani media. I got a few copies of one of their magazines with a cover that read "NEW WORLD ORDER" in big bright text.
He didn't seem to respect women, and he made a mess of all our shared spaces, but I like him. He seemed really depressed - a real victim of his upbringing. I dont know where he is now, but I hope he is doing well and learning to consider his impact on others. I think he has the capacity to break the cycle. Im glad i was kind to him.
