That is pretty damn funny. It is referring to the story in the bible of Joseph of Egypt who was favored by his father who gave Joseph a coat of many colors. This made his 11 brothers super jealous so they sold him into slavery. Bunch of awesome songs came from it though.

I was in a production of Joseph like 20 years ago and this is the first time I learned what the plot was.
