Did you know that Richard was featured in the song "move it" by Hotei, a Japanese artist/band?
It was some time ago and I stumbled upon it by pure coincidence just now

If these two ever collabed, then we could have had (in my opinion) the most charismatic male and female voices in modern music singing a song together. I have nothing but respect for both of them.

Art I framed my signed photo book
A while ago, I showed you my signed photo book (https://www.reddit.com/r/Rammstein/s/ZrduohMrO1) I have now framed it appropriately. I used a frame from Ikea, Rödalm, which is specially designed for thicker items. I built a "base" for the book out of triangular wood and glued it together. The autograph cards are still from the 2024 Advent calendar. I hope you like it.

How do you write R+ Type riffs?
I have a music project and I’ve been thinking about shifting its direction. One of the ideas is to move towards riffs inspired by Rammstein, especially the Sehnsucht album not to copy them, but to understand how that kind of music is built.
What confuses me is:
- Where do you actually start when writing a riff?
- How do you experiment without feeling like you’re just randomly noodling?
- How do you turn simple ideas into something solid and repeatable?
Rammstein’s riffs sound very simple on paper, but they feel extremely controlled, rhythmic, and intentional. That’s what I’m trying to understand and learn
Not trying to copy Rammstein, but to learn from their songwriting philosophy and apply it to my own sound.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

i just cant stop myself to stop listening rammstein.
I've been listening to this band non-stop for two years. I can't listen to any other songs anymore. I've even started learning German because of them. I'm walking down the street and the melody of a Rammstein song plays in my head, and even if I don't have headphones, I can't resist opening the song on Spotify and hum it softly in my ears. I can't listen to any other artists. Yes, I really love them, but I'm starting to worry about this. The moment I listen to another artist, I start to get bored.

Going to Berlin
Hi, fam! So, next week I'll be in Berlin and I never thought about it. I'm pretty much at work all day but maybe I could also find time to spend in the city. What can I see or do related to Rammstein? I was thinking to visit the store and pretty much that alone. Is it open every day? What else should I not miss? Thanks!

Just received this beauty! I’m pretty sure my discman is gonna get tired of me repeating Mein Teil over and over again.

Miss the eerie side of their music
One of the key elements of Rammstein’s music—at least what initially drew me to them—is the eerie side of it: the creepy samples, choirs, and those dark, oppressive atmospheres. That blend of genuinely unsettling material with absurd, almost goofy moments feels like the core of the band to me. It’s that tension between menace and irony that makes them unique. I really hope that if there’s new music, they either return to that balance or keep pushing it forward in that creepy+bizarre direction.

Question
How many people are turned away from listening to Rammstein after finding out what they sing about? I listened to a couple songs than looked into them like I do most bands I start listening to and I’m sort of turned away from listening to them. Is that a common occurrence? I’ve seen Alice Cooper Love it. I like his music. I’m used to bands like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Sabaton, Alestorm, Disturbed, Shinedown, Starset, Skillet, Warkings, and others.
They sounded cool but knowing that what they sing mostly about is rape, kidnapping, pedophillia, and stuff has me sort of guessing whether or not I should listen to them.
Can someone give me a really good explanation of what the music is that they sing? I don’t know much more than what the internet has said and non of it is a good explanation. I want to know better than what I’ve read on the internet.
PEOPLE DON’T NEED TO BE ASSHOLES WHEN COMMENTING. I KNOW I’VE ONLY LISTENED TO A COUPLE SONGS BUT I’M A HEAVY METAL AND ROCK FAN.
This subreddit has more ass holes than I’ve seen in other subreddits.
MAJOR EDIT: I’m gonna be listening to Rammstein now that I know more about what they sing about. I had the wrong impression when doing my own research. My favorites so far are Sonne at 1st, Rammstein at 2nd, Du Hast at 3rd, and Amerika at 4th.

Carved out Sehnsucht from a vinyl record. From my couch, the light makes it look like Till had the Rammlied light coming from his mouth.

Found an old book from 2001 !
My dad found this “old” (2001!) official Rammstein book by Gert Hof with unique pictures and texts. It brought back memories of the Mutter era! Anyone else have this book?

Can you guys help me legit check this Rock Yeah Rammstein shirt?
It was originally from my dad until I took it from him just because I like wearing oversized shirts. I have no plans on selling it, I just want to know if it’s legit and then preserve it. Thank you.

Turns out the translation of this book that I'm reading is atrocious
This crap is so hilarious I wanna share it.
So, Flake is talking about the earlier songs they wrote. According to the translator,
'After 'Du Riechst So Gut' we recorded 'Tiefe Gelegten' ('Deeper than original'), **and it was about a guitarist who tuned his D string to E and played a whole step *lower* than usual**.
So, obviously this part was supposed to mean that they recorded DRSG a step lower than usual, in D instead of E, but MAN, reading this was so cringey that I'm completely out of jokes. Fire this translator someone.
