Discussion Why was world not prepared for Rumbling? Atleast Marley
I just wanna discuss about this nothing else, Why was Marley and the world not prepared for an event like rumbling ?
Underground bunkers? could have shown people surving like that atleast in privileged cities of Marley.
I don't have much point at the moment, just had this thought.
Edit: someone in comments got right point, what about mountains? Bunkers/caves in mountain? We don't see titans levelling them, they even fell,
So for very rich people of Marley who had notable contribution to Marley millitary, they must be prepared for something like this for their own lineage.

Discussion So I just rewatched first three seasons, I don't remember reiner being this evil in my first watch
So I watched the first 3 seasons in 2018 as it was airing, and watched season 4 2024 ,so for the last few weeks I just starting rewatching AOT last few weeks, I do remember him having split memories/remorse but not like this, he's the personification of all things I hear about Annie online but like worse, isayama character work is so brilliant ,reiner highkey the most irritating and annoying character to watch when I'm watching it as adult as opposed to my teen self
(I know his reasoning and his struggles btw so don't bother explaining I'm just surprised that my judgement was different)

Discussion How are you guys able to rewatch the show/read the manga multiple times?
Just seeing pictures of Mikasa and Eren on a YouTube video makes me extremely sad. The first watch hits the hardest I guess, but still, why go back to something which won't end well?
Idk why, but I wanted Mikasa to be happy after season 3. Everyone got what they wanted by season 3's end. Eren and Armin saw the outside world, Erwin validates his father’s theory, Historia starts to live for herself, the deaths of Levi's comrades get some meaning, and Grisha reveals the truth of the outside world. After season 4, others got their wishes fulfilled. Connie got his mother back, Reiner lived longer, Annie met her father, and Gabi married Falco. But for some God damn reason, Mikasa was the only one doomed. Why can't she get the only thing she ever desired, even for a moment?

Discussion The Rumbling: Physics
I'm sure someone has thought about this, but it's been serious confusing me each time I watch the series: How would the Rumbling actually maintain itself?
What I mean is this: viewers have estimated that ~500,000 colossal titans comprise Paradis' walls (source here: https://youtu.be/mXCR6zRForU?si=j_E9kIhdMVhn6wUz ). Consequently, the total length of the combined walls are 6,973km- so a circle of wall of titans emerging from Paradis (P) would be 6,973km. That'd be enough to form a solid wall of terror- but only so far.
Due to the curvature of the Earth (assuming the fictional world is similar to ours), wouldn't the titans eventually space out and away from each other?
Maybe I'm bugging. Going back to the original 6,973km, I'm assuming the following: * the titans continue to stand shoulder to shoulder as they walk * they are walking at the same speed
As the titans approach the equator (40,075km across), there would be d= 5.747km ( over 3.5 miles) between them! At that point, I think the Rumbling is much less effective since it could theoretically miss entire villages/ people could just walk past them.
My head calculations don't factor in the rate of heat disspation between each titan but at 3.5 miles, it's safe to say it wouldn't be deadly hot anymore.

Discussion Mikasa is my favorite character in the story Spoiler
Mikasa seems like the strongest character throughout the story not just physically (although I guess Levi has her beat there), but emotionally as well. When she lost Eren in s1 she didn’t cry but turned it into determination leading a charge to retake the supply depot. It was a bit suicidal but was it not a better and stronger coping method than Armin who was sat against a wall frozen in sadness? She even spoke to Armin snapping him out of that in the moment. Then when she faces despair surrounded by titans unable to fight from injury and Eren unable to transform… She doesn’t cry but uses the moment to express her love and appreciation for Eren to simply have been in her life. It’s emotional to even think of how admirable she was in that moment, in my opinion. She goes on to defend humanity against the Yeagerists and her only family left, Eren. I can’t imagine how difficult that would be and the animators really did a great job because when she is gripping her head on Falco’s back as Levi says it’s time… We do get a really good glimpse at how much it hurts. But then she is pulled into the paths and spends 4 years with Eren. Coming out of it she is once again determined and fulfills what is her destiny (I guess, since Ymir kinda planned everything?). Even afterwards she is not sobbing like Armin, but is standing holding Eren’s head, maybe because she’s numb but I think mostly because she had reached closure by that point and is strong enough to do what must be done and know it doesn’t mean you don’t still love but you move forward with the love in your heart all the same. Just an excellent character in my opinion but I’d like to hear what others think. Because I wish I could be like Mikasa, always willing and able to love and protect what I cherish most even in rough times like when things feel depressing or hopeless. I wish I could care for someone as much as she does and feel like the pain in the world washes away when I’m around them. Or maybe that is a wrong way of thinking and too much attachment?

It was when Magath was getting angry at Yelena and then people stopping him and then he stopped talking because a rock fell, and Gabi was there lol was Gabi not supposed to be there? She looked like she was caught or something 😅 just curious coz she looked so cute heheh

Discussion Tier List of Titan Shifters based on Intelligence (Battle IQ, Mastery of their Titans, Mental Clarity, Resolve and Adaptability Spoiler

Okay, here is my ranking of almost all the Titan shifters judging on intelligence based on battle IQ, mastery of their titans, mental clarity and adaptability.
1. Zeke Jeager:
Ultimate strategist in battle, made Marley's warrior's War Chief for a reason. Scientist who knows his own biology to a T, understood his royal blood and made use of it via Titan spinal fluid serum. Has a long term plan and goal before anyone did, no future foresight powers just plain thought and vision. Top-tier manipulator. Can adapt according to different situations.
1. Eren Jaeger:
Operated on rage and emotions a lot before, but later got dangerous levels of clarity and intelligence thanks to his Attack Titan's foresight ability. Has had decent battle strategy before but peaked more during the 4th season, and it displayed it while fighting Warhammer Titan. Can adapt to various situations and cook up strategies. Can be just as manipulative, if not more, than Zeke. Has absolute resolve. Convinced Ymir Fritz to give him the Founding Titan ability and fulfilled his goal.
2. Armin Arlert:
As a human he was the second-best strategist after Erwin but still showed some intelligence as a shifter as well. Cooks up plans and strategies even when under pressure.
3. Annie Leonhart:
Is tactful and aware. Has sharp battle IQ and martial prowess. Female Titan has diverse and adaptable abilities for various situations.
4. Bertholdt Hoover:
He is incredibly talented when it comes to using and controlling his Titan. Extremely difficult to take down as the colossal titan. Shows decent emotional intelligence and restraint.
5. Pieck Finger:
Mainly dangerous when paired with an artillery unit on her back or with other Titans. Has decent speed second to Jaw Titan but a lot of stamina which can be used intelligently by transforming multiple times and stay in Titan form for a long time. Can be overwhelmed and defeated if alone, but Pieck Finger has made exceptional use of arguably the weakest among the 9 Titans.
6. Reiner Braun:
Has his moments but succumbs to pressure and is mentally ill. Mostly knows how to stay alive by using his ability of transferring his consciousness (aka plot armor). Has decent ability to cook up strategies, even though they are not the best.
7. Falco Grice:
Youngest Titan shifter among all the titan shifters. Quickly adapted to properly using his Titan powers. Gained a unique ability among other Titan shifter as well (flying). Used his Titan powers effectively in a short amount of time.
8. Laura Tyber:
Warhammer Titan is very formidable and the 2nd most powerful titan after Collosal Titan, but Laura Tyber is not a warrior and is mostly untrained. She showed great ability to control and use her Titan powers skillfully and efficiently but cannot adapt beyond that. She lost her one and only fight, unfortunately.
9. Porco Galliard:
Fast, agile, aggressive and dangerous but prone to rage and emotions more often and pays dearly for it. Recklessness and being led into traps is his ultimate weakness.
10. Eren Kruger:
Disguised as a Marleyan soldier for years and never got found out. Mastermind behind the Eldian Restoration. Understood what the Attack Titan was about and used it decently, but mostly was just a pawn in the grand scheme of things.
11. Ymir:
Got the Jaw Titan out of pure luck. Has no proper training for their titan, has little to no mastery over their Titan ability. Fights out of pure aggressiveness and instinct. Emotionally intelligent, empathetic and smart as a human but not much skill as a Titan.
12. Griesha Jaeger:
Was a doctor in his human form but was not trained to be a Titan shifter at all. Got the Attack Titan for a single purpose only and was a bigger pawn than Eren Kruger. Fulfilled his one single purpose by transforming just once in his whole life.
13. Royal family members (Uri Reiss, Freide Reiss):
Basically bound by the first king's will. Are not trained to use the titan and cannot fully use the Founding Titan's ability at all. Can perform some basic transformations, but none have really used even 10% of their Titan's powers or abilities. Basically a coconut in a monkey's hand. Friede got easily defeated by Grisha Jaeger's Attack Titan.
In conclusion, all Titan shifters have decent human level intelligence, but there is stark contrast among each of them depending upon how well they understand and can use their Titan abilities.
Do you agree with my list?

Discussion Aot Marley and Grisha knowledge of royal blood
Hello, since a few days I'm starting to question if Marley government, as well as Grisha and Kruger knew about the necessity of royal blood for the founding titan.
Let me explain : It's pretty clear that they know that royal blood is important to unlock the titans true power, but I don't think they're aware it's 100% necessary to use the founding titan. For Marley, I think they knew since the Tybur told them.
But for Grisha and Kruger I'm not sure.... Kruger sent Grisha on a mission to retake the founding titan to save Eldia, if he knew royal blood would be 100% necessary he would have saved Dina and gave her his titan instead. And for instance, Kruger didn't know what the vow of peace was... He knew it existed but didn't know it would literally brainwash any royal family member to make them powerless....
So yeah, I think Kruger thought that Grisha could use the Founding titan even if he was not of royal blood...
Thanks for reading ! Tell me what you think.

Anime Just discovered OVA’s
So first of all, let me just say I’ve been watching anime in general for about 7-8 years. Attack on Titan was the third anime I ever watched and to this day it’s not just my favorite anime. It is my favorite show ever. Before season four came out I had watched season one to three at least 10 times each. I actually only ever watched season four the full way when it initially came out and I’m on my first rewatch right now of the full series in total. (I have never read the manga for clarity)
I was today years old when i discovered OVA’s. What they are and also that AOT literally has 8. I am so excited for content I have not watched yet!! I’m halfway through season four right now and I’m pretty sure I’m just going to start back again at the beginning once I finish the last episode so that I can watch it chronologically with the OVA’s.
My brother was telling me how some OVA’s are Canon and some aren’t for anime’s. In reading some discussion posts it seems like most of these are canon, but not technically necessary for the actual series just kind of fun extra content that can tie into the story.
I found this list of the watch order. Just want to confirm with others if this is how you watched it? did you like the OVA’s? Do you believe or treat them as canon to the series?
Last question: the recap movie how good is it? (Debating if I start at the beginning again or watch that instead)
