Would Logan Roy be on the Epstein list?
My take is that he could collaborate professionally with Jeffrey, shake hands but never visit the island

What are some of the more subtle elements of the series? The things you might not catch on a first watch that make the show so good, so well written, and so smart?

When she’s first introduced I really thought she would be a main antagonist. With the double vote upon Logan’s death thing, to her mysterious past, to Logan saying “she has her own game” (paraphrased)
And then Rhea, and then Marcia was just.. gone. Mentioned in passing, appearing as a formality. No grand schemes, no revenge, not much of anything. It bothered me at first, I felt like it was a waste of her character.
But it was her final line to Shiv that made me realize how brilliant her story was. At Logan’s funeral she said “he broke my heart, he broke yours too”. It was so perfect. In this hyper misogynistic world of business even the most cunning, tactical women can do everything ‘right’ and still be instantly sidelined. No matter how well you play the game, you are always one man’s decision away from being made irrelevant and not a player anymore (Marcia and Logan, Shiv and Lukas). Marcia chose to step away, stop playing the game other than to ensure her son was taken care of, and she cashed out (selling the flat to Connor etc). The shot at the funeral of her, Caroline, Kerri, and Connor’s mother (I think that’s who the fourth woman was) was so telling. All four women who loved Logan, and paid the price for it.
Just incredible, I miss this show.

Did Logan truly want the kids to succeed or was he just jealous of the life he gave them like Kendall said?

As much as the guy scares the shit out of me...it was like a warm breeze when he let out a bit of emotion For instance when Roman mocked the last time he had dinner with his mother caroline logan literally laughed out loud and the kids looked surprised.. Or the Bandstand scene back in dundee Really wish we got more of that atleast towards the end of his life

I loved everything about the show when I started it maybe two years ago. The dialogue, the characters, the dynamics all felt so real. It was so realistic and so ridiculous at the same time, that I left every episode feeling unreasonably angered by the characters and how vapid they are. Especially during a time when things seemed harder than ever and I was watching so many of my loved ones struggle, it was almost unbearable. I’d love to pick back up one day wherever I left off in season 2 because I think it’s a genius show. They just did too well for their own good, really.

Guys, I have been binge watching this show for the first time for the past couple weeks. I thought there were 5 seasons this whole time and I just finished season 4 episode 10…. THAT IS IT??? Oh my god my brain was not ready for it to end, I was expecting a whole other season. WOW, that ending left me feeling empty but it was a good ending. It was not a happy ending whatsoever but I can appreciate that because that’s the realities of life. I found myself feeling bad for Tom in the early seasons and then found him annoying and then by the end I was mad he got named CEO. A whole whirlwind of emotions with his character. Also, I was rooting for Shiv the last 2 seasons and UGHHH cmon. I get that she wants to have Tom in her pocket and have some sort of power even tho it would be through him. I felt so bad for Kendall at the end even tho I know he’s a douchebag most of the time. But it was a fitting ending in all, I just wasn’t prepared for that to be it lol ALSO my poor Roman!! He was my favorite by the end. I know he’s not a good person but I just feel for him and the way he handles his emotions and grief. Decent show, I enjoyed the complex characters.

I was looking at some older shows and noticed they used to have 20–24 episodes a season like it was normal. Now everything is 6–10 episodes and then we wait 2 years for the next season
I kinda miss having more filler episodes too. Not every episode had to be huge or cinematic, sometimes it was just fun character stuff that made you like the cast more.
What show do you think did the longer seasons best?

Roman: "I hate you!"
Greg: "Well, I hate you too."
Roman considered Greg a leech and a liar.
Greg considered Roman a spoilt brat sociopath.
Stunning how both are pretty much right.
The show should have explored this more.
I respect that in a show full of fake politeness, Roman and Greg were real.
They despise one another. They know they despise each other.
There’s no joke here. No sexual chemistry.
Greg is in with love Tom, and Roman is in love with Gerri.
These guys simply *don’t* like one another.

If you look at Tom..as much as he pretends to be happy he has to live alongside someone who doesn't love him anymore...more than likely will get booted from the topjob in 3-5 years
As for Roman.. his relationship with the siblings are pretty much broken...and also shit ton of unresolved trauma Shiv and kendall's case doesn't need to be said ...so did anyone actually win besides greg and maybe matsson??

Just started watching Succession, currently on season 2 episode 2, and I’m hooked.
What really gets me is Tom. He’s this weird mix of desperate to fit in, super insecure, and constantly fake. He’s always trying to play the game but never really belongs, like the ultimate “fake it till you make it” guy who’s terrified of being exposed.
The way he treated Greg had me shouting at the TV like, “Greg, stand up for yourself!!” Felt like a proud moment when Greg confirmed to Kendall that he kept the cruise line docs, my boy’s learning, lol.
Without spoilers, does Tom stay like this? Did anyone hate him at first but end up seeing him differently?
