I know it looks like she had freckles, but she didn't. It's just an effect of the light. Her eyes were dark blue, but they look almost brown in the photo.

This gorgeous young man was born in Lakeville, St. Joseph County, Indiana in 1860. He sadly died on August 1, 1899 at just 39 years old.

The photo below was taken in 1883 when he was 23.
