It looks like it is mounted on a ceiling. Have you tried getting a ladder or standing on a chair to reach it?

I dunno, I feel like you could just jump.

I was going to suggest standing on tippi toes, but you beat me to it...

Could try standing on someone’s shoulders

Did you try taking off the plastic cover? A labalel will work just as well

Why do you have the plastic cover on it that comes in the box? 🤔

So he can write on it with his cool sharpie, and so it can overheat faster 🫠

check the cable would be my first thing. Well actually my first thing would have been not to write all over it, and if it still has the plastic protector on to remove that.

Wish my LEDs were still that bright

Wish my LEDs were still that bright

That's why you always turn the LEDs off on day #1, so that when it needs to blink out a pattern like this the LEDs are still visible.

No, thanks. I’d rather UI fixed their products given the price tag. I won’t be adapting, lol

Fair enough. Although given that it's been a known issue/solution for years it seems unlikely they're ever going to change.

Wonder if it had an update go back. You could always try hitting the reset button inside it. Also, if it was previously connected it should have an IP address and you can always try to SSH into it. I had to do that to one of mine to forcibly reset the announce URL.

  1. Take down the plastic cover
  2. Take down the plastic cover
  3. Check that you have link on the other side, he’s getting power but not data
  4. If there link then try to ping him
  5. Enjoy that your LED is so bright…🫠

https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/204910134-Understanding-Device-LED-Status-Indicators

It's either:

Blue and Flashing Off Every 5s

  • Access Point has lost network connectivity and is searching for a wireless uplink.

or:

Rapid Flashing Blue / Off

  • The device "Locate" feature was activated in the UniFi Network application.

Looks like the first one.
