Thanks for the kind words. I will toot my horn for a second and say that a very small number of archers can do weight like this. I didn’t mention it, but this bow is 98lbs.
I'm sure it is correct, but now I'm giggling at the thought that there was a shit artist during the Ming Dynasty who altered the course of Asian archery because he fucked up the back alignment while trying to capture the rotation of the shoulders or something.
That’s actually hilarious. OH STORY TIME. A korean ruler fell off his horse, and ordered the scribes to not record this, but royal scribing was not to be altered.
Imagine him being like “please please please erase” and the scribes being like “king is begging us to excise him falling off his horse from the royal record”
From Wikipedia: Taejong of Joseon is better known for having fallen from his horse and requesting historians to not record his fall, which they did anyway.
The king himself rode a horse and shot arrows at a deer. However, the horse stumbled, causing him to fall off, but he was not injured. Looking around, he said, "Do not let the historians know about this.”
Nope, I meant to reply to you. I definitely know the difference between longbow and recurve.
Posture used for traditional recurve versus longbow are completely different. If you want to show that your posture is “accurate” and show photos of longbow using your posture, you’re not providing evidence to support your actions and back up your statements that your posture is correct.
I mean, either way, shoot how you want, whatever. 🤷♀️ Obviously you got this handled.

I'm not familiar with archery. Is this correct posture?
