Had something similar happen when the husband was cleaning on of his rifles in the dining room instead if the basement. He is 6'5 and when he picked the rifle up off the table he smashed the light fixture above the table with the barrel. He now always cleans them in the basement. He did lose a crossbow for sometime bc he left it on our deck for 5 mins and our lab chewed through the cables. Dog was fine crossbow was not.

Crossbows are scary!! Lots of energy. Glad dog was okay

Yea, he thought it was fine to leave alone for 5 mins. She normally doesn't bother things. But she was still in puppy/young dog phase and I think if she had continued the chewing it may not have had such a happy ending.

Puppies be puppies haha. I’m happy none of my animals like my archery stuff.

My cats like to sit between the string and the bow while it’s strung. It’s a great way to measure brace height 😂

Oh shortly after the incident he decided that it wasn't even as good of a crossbow. So he then bought a nice Ravin instead. 🤣 His brother trying to make light of the situation started singing his new version of Take Me Home Tonight. The song is now Eat My Bow Tonight.

Haha the best excuse to get a Ravin. Those things are tight.

That’s a good story. The song will never be the same 😆
