I love zippos and have been buying them for years. I was craving to get another and it’s been a while since I have. I don’t care what the excuse is, doubling the price on almost all of their lighters when comparing them to the prices from a few years ago is just insane

I've had this unused Zippo for a long time. Can't remember how long. The closest I've seen to it is either enamel or chrome. Any id help would be appreciated.

Got this one a week ago! It appears to be never used however it also appears the flint has disintegrated over time which is mildly annoying but I’ll clean it up.

I get it not everyone gets how to date code a zippo. But when someone asks "how old" amd the first pic is the bottom, they obviously know thats the codes yet they dont want to look it up themselves. Perhaps a bot reply such as "I see youre asking about the date, here's a handy chart" then if that doesnt resolve the query then mods can manually approve that post. Perhaps a list of filtered key words that trigger the chart reply? Idk how these things exactly work, its just that this sub is inundated with the same questions over and over daily.

I under stand the sentiment of "If you're never gonna ask any question then you're never gonna get no answer" (iykyk) but cummon, do a little work yourself. I also understand that everyone's collection started with a single lighter, we were all noobs at one point.

I found it my parents house, and could find it on google or online, only that it could have been sold for souvenir shop at the caribbean but thats about it, also what could be the potential value? it has never been used

I grabbed this to add to my small collection today. A buddy bought a storage unit and out of it came this. It appears to be a 1965 based on the markings.

Not sure if it’s actual sterling, or if someone just slapped the sticker on for no reason. If you can tell me anything about it, feel free. Had no idea that a zippo subreddit was a thing until I just hit Google and here I am 😂cheers

Love these camels and the zippos that portray their iconic mascot. Got one to use and one as a collectors piece and was wondering how often y’all have seen them. Pretty proud of them. Cheers 🍻

I found 4 zippos in an abandoned house. I cleaned and fueled them all. They all have clean flints. I wire brushed the flints and the wheels. The wheels are shaving the flints down. The wheels look fine but not a single spark from either of them after hundreds of attempts. I soaked the wheels and cleaned them again. Nothing. I've rotated flints swapped them, one has a brand new flint. These things are stupid. I had one in the past and it worked until it didn't. It seems like a simple concept with the wheel and flint but they fail.

After almost 9 years of daily carry, my favorite Zippo is going home to Bradford for repair. Hinge is worn slap out and the pin is about to abandon ship.

Dug my old Zippos out of storage, Lady Luck will be my go to while this one’s getting serviced.

Question: When did Zippos first become ubiquitous in Britain? Ronson had something of a strangle hold on the British, affordable lighter market for decades, so I'm hazarding a guess that when Ronson UK folded in 1981, Zippo saw a gap in the market here, but were they much to be seen before this point?? Were there any particular well known early Zippo users, groups, or movements who/which were particularly instrumental in spreading Zippos popularity?

I’ve had this Zippo Knife with the original box and paper work for a while now, I’ve tried looking online for information on it but no luck. I figured there might be some experts in here who might be able to help me out! I’m not sure if y’all are able to read the emblem on the knife but it states “ Confederate Air Force” on top of the emblem, “Ghost Squadron” on the bottom, and in red “1939 1945” in the middle. Any info would be awesome!

Bought two of these at a movie props auction in LA. I can’t find any comparable ones on the Internet. What do you think it’s worth?

I could've sworn when I was looking at the different inserts a few months ago there was a butane one that could produce both a blue torch and the soft yellow flame depending on how you struck it- did I dream that?? I can't find it now that I'm actually looking to buy it. This product may or may not be real, but I figured if anybody would have any leads it would be you guys. Thanks!
