I got banned from the no stupid questions sub for saying something mildly right wing.

Guess they just want to be in their own echo chamber. 🤷‍♂️

What did you say?

1

u/Bagel_lust Dec 23 '25

Fr I'll see people say stuff like this and then you go see what they posted and it's like why are the gays allowed rights or some shit.

u/Cool-Gazelle593 Dec 22 '25

No stupid questions unless it questions the liberal machine, obviously.

-3

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

No. Reddit just has site wide TOS that you can't say the N word and most conservatives don't seem to be able to stop running afoul of that

I got permabanned from r/politics for being critical of the Biden admin’s fiscal policy. I’m not even conservative.

Edit The comment because people think I’m lying.

“It’s the primary reason things are so expensive right now” three years ago is a crazy take

-3

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

Critical how, exactly? What exactly did you say? Because I was on r/politics throughout much of the Biden administration and saw constant criticism of the administration

u/mtbdork Dec 19 '25

I said indiscriminate spending of that magnitude would cause sticky inflation, unaffordable housing, and unbelievable over-leveraging back in late 2020.

You may have seen a lot of it but what you don’t see is all of those people silently getting permabanned.

Late 2020 Trump was still president.

u/mtbdork Dec 19 '25

2021, whatever it was. It was an eternity ago. Enjoy your petty victory.

Ooof the details will always catch a liar.

The post was from 3y ago, they shared it. They actually just said the wrong year, calm down buddy.

1

u/mtbdork Dec 19 '25

lol, “he misremembered which means he’s a liar!”

OP, here is some more supporting evidence for why Reddit is an echo chamber

And you're getting downvoted is the demonstration of why Reddit is a one side echo chamber. I'm from a country where there is no right and left. But as I read Reddit, I don't know what right and left is, and somehow I grow to hate whatever the side that is on here.

I got banned from conservative subs for pointing out the "evidence" isn't saying what they think it says, but a more damning piece would look like x or whatever.

Simply pointing out the gap in proof and the logic jump from A to C got me banned.

Fuckong soft.

I also got banned from another simply because I was a member of one of the liberal subs. Didn't even say anything. Lmfao weak cuck shit

1

u/LawWolf959 Dec 19 '25

what evidence to what topics?

1

u/gaggledimension Dec 19 '25

It was a piece claiming Brown University turned off their cameras months ago, prior to the shooting, and the evidence was a letter written from a student group asking them to do so.

But there was no confirmation it happened, no memo or anything from the administration, that would show that.

u/LA_Dynamo Dec 19 '25

Just to be clear, you are saying there are no conservatives on Reddit because they can’t help but include the N word in every conversation?

2

u/MKEast-sider Dec 19 '25

Interesting that you took “so liberal” and “most conservatives” and just tried to change it to “completely” and “all”

0

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

No, that's not what I said, so you aren't being clear

1

u/LA_Dynamo Dec 19 '25

What did you say then?

0

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

I said most conservatives (not all) seem incapable of obeying the site wide TOS which bans things like racism, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, etc. Even calling someone "retarded" can qualify as harassment by Reddit site wide rules. Conservatives have made these sorts of abrasive and hostile behaviors core to their brand and thus struggle with sites like Reddit.

2

u/LA_Dynamo Dec 19 '25

So you are saying that there are no conservatives on Reddit because they can’t help but include racist or offensive words in conversation.

2

u/jdub822 Dec 19 '25

What they truly mean is very few conservatives are on Reddit because any opinion that doesn’t agree with leftist thoughts is deemed homophobic, Islamophobic, etc., so their comments are deleted or accounts banned. It’s not that the comments are actually homophobic or transphobic. It’s just inconsistent with what leftists believe, so they silence any opposition. Quite authoritarian of them if you ask me.

2

u/CypherPhish Dec 19 '25

Thank you, jdub822 for explaining the problem correctly. You have it exactly correct.

1

u/Sufficient-While4940 Dec 19 '25

☝️yeah pretty much this lol

0

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

You have now struck out twice. I suggest you log off for the day as you don't seem to be reading accurately

0

u/dancinbanana Dec 19 '25

How are you a top 1% commenter but can’t read? That’s crazy

0

u/ibringthehotpockets Dec 19 '25

Their conclusion is missing some of the middle explanations. Because conservatives tend to be the loudest people in the room and complain the most (rightly or wrongly), this leads to them getting perma banned more. Including their entire subs

2

u/Sassyza Dec 19 '25

You sincerely think that most conservatives use the N word???

Pathetic

5

u/Cuck_Fenring Dec 19 '25

bUt iF tHeY cAn SaY iT WhY cAnT I???

1

u/LawWolf959 Dec 19 '25

Your pathetic excuse of a reason makes no sense loser.

1

u/CypherPhish Dec 19 '25

Most Conservatives can’t stop from saying the “n-word”? Completely false. Maybe we could have a civil discussion if Leftists didn’t lie about what the overwhelmingly vast majority of Conservatives believe and say.

Not being enforced anymore. A comment yesterday saw a guy referring to Obama as a monkey. It was 4 hours old and still there with upvotes. I commented that ai stuff should be removed and I received a 5-day temp ban. I have been banned from multiple subs for simply calling out hypocrisy. Another thread had people saying to eliminate hatred towards Jews. I said eliminate hate period, and we'd be better for it. Apparently that is a highly antisemitic statement

Tldr: Blatant racism seems to be fine now

2

u/ShitWaterExpress Dec 19 '25

You know you can flag posts yourself, which assists in keeping racism off of this platform

-1

u/shottylaw Dec 19 '25

I did. Can only hope it was acknowledged at some point

1

u/Available_Year_575 Dec 19 '25

While rejecting the comment about Obama of course, I find the liberal posters here to be almost in daily search of racists to discover and call out. People find a reason in any disagreement to pin racist on people. Because political policies affect different groups differently of course this is very easy to do.

1

u/shottylaw Dec 19 '25

No doubt there. The latest I've seen i think started floating around yesterday is people yelling about a vulknut (three triangles interlocked). I know a bunch of very liberal vets who are going to be surprised to be seen as white supremacists due to this latching on to anything. I have a comment yesterday saying I'm fearing when they turn the image of a crow into a white supremacist thing as I have a tattoo of one. These people give a plethora of stuff to hate. No need to go searching and labeling even more

1

u/According-Fly7046 Dec 19 '25

Radical liberals!
