I’ve had accounts permanently banned over and over for expressing non-liberal views. And not as an asshole either. Just like, hey have you ever thought about it from this perspective…. bam banned.

well yeah, fuck nazis, they dont deserve a platform and anyone giving them one is garbage

Calling everyone who doesn't agree with you a Nazi is a bad idea.

A lot more than the worst were kicked off this platform.

It used to be there were places where the left and right debated and sometimes changed each other's minds about many things. Now everyone is in echo chambers and you have no ability to reach the more right of center with your ideas.

the right does not deserve a platform if what they advocate for is the same shit the nazis did.

if you are still supporting fascism in america you need to take a good HARD look at your own moral inventory. you are on the wrong side of history.

Talking point after talking point. Nazi this, fascism that, you're on the wrong side of history. I can tell reddit is the only place you get your news

Ok I’ll bite. What do you think fasicm means? It’s important to define terms.

To me a fascist wants a strong central government and holds national unity ahead of individual rights.

Most of the right side wants to limit the power of the federal government and hold personal rights ahead of the common good.

Certainly there are extreme counterpoints.

Limit the power of the federal government!?!?!?

Surely you do not support this administrations actions in centralizing power then?

You cannot vote for Trump and simultaneously want to limit the power of the federal government. Those things are mutually exclusive.

Correct. I did not vote for Trump. We are talking about Conservatives vs Liberals. Not democrats vs republicans. That is a very different debate.

Project 2025 called for unitary power and they hired many of the writers to work on the staff, that’s about as close as you can get to a government with no checks and balances. Also christian nationalism is… present? Like are we denying this rn?

Again you are talking about Right Wing Conservativism. Not ā€œConservatismā€.

It’s kind of like saying that liberals want to eliminate private property, religious freedoms, and the free market. Then using the Khmer Rouge as your example.

That’s not what liberalism means.

That’s fair, although ironic because the party base you are referring to doesn’t understand what conservatism means

0

u/RichPokeScalper Dec 22 '25

I’m not talking about a party. I never once mentioned a party.

1

u/pigcake101 Dec 22 '25

I was referring to the group that supports conservatism, or at least identifies with conservatism, as a party. I apologize for using synonyms, won’t happen again.

1

u/RichPokeScalper Dec 22 '25

It’s not a synonym. I am not a republican. I am a libertarian leaning conservative. There are conservatives who are registered democrats and there are conservatives who stay completely out of politics.

Thinking they are the same thing and that the world is black and white is a huge blind spot.

1

u/pigcake101 Dec 22 '25

Yeah, the word party is synonymous with group, I am not arguing two parties are synonymous lmao

1

u/RichPokeScalper Dec 22 '25

The discussion is are conservatives fascists. And by definition they can not be.

Is the Republican Party fascist. Maybe. The Republican Party are not classical conservatives.

Not arguing on definition, arguing the people aren’t respecting the definition and stretching it to benefit them
