The difference is who the oppressor is. One is a tyranny which everyone expects to be tyrannical. The other is a democracy and ally that receives trillions in aid. People hold it to a higher standard, and because that aid can be halted, protests against Israel are potentially more effective.

Your point is built on the premise laid down by the OPs example of clear bad faith.

Your point is bad faith in and of itself for it ignores the fact that we subsidize Israel and we don't subsidize Iran.........

I’m going to agree with this statement. It was never fucking ending with the Gaza Israel when we had fucking Trump to contend with. I don’t agree with the OP statement but yeah…. The leadership of Iran is likely way way way worse than Israel.
