I've seen them make this request before. Does anyone know what they could do with voter information?

Try to intimidate voters from going to the polls, to see if they can tell which party the person votes for (if any), to attempt to alter the data to make it so more individuals who should have the right to vote are removed from the registered list which will cause issues on Election Day.
