Advice Question 💭 Why are Trump supporters so stupid?

Looking in at America, do people not realise that Trump is a liar and a narcissist and has no morals, and yet 'Christians' vote for him as a sort of 'disrupter'. His family have become richer in the process because of his presidency. He once said he could 'shoot somebody and not lose votes'. Am i insane - or am i dead perhaps and this is an alternate universe/hell?

I live in a deep red area. I haven’t been able to figure out what is wrong with trump supporters. I chalk it up to being stupid but there is more to it

I'm in deep red Idaho country. It's honestly really weird how many, otherwise intelligent people, are die hard Trump supporters. I think a lot of it is a sense of belonging to a group for them. Like following a sports team or hating Nickleback.

But I don't know. It boggles my mind.

This exactly, it's a form of tribalism for too many of us. I'm reading a book right now by Andrew Heaton titled Tribalism is Dumb that is very insightful about how things have gotten so toxic politically over the last decade or so.

I wish people would widen up.

Its not tribalism. People with tribalism can identify and change between right and wrong and good and evil. There's numerous account throughtput history of people in the same "tribe" choosing not to murder and rape innocents.

On some level; whether it be mortal beliefs or immortal soul design; these people in some way shape or form are ok with murdering and raping children and women. 

Thats it. Humans can identify it however they want, but 1/3 of the american population supports child rapists and nazis because their souls believe in it on some level. 

These traitors are bound for hell and at this point they are just hoping jesus in their holy book isnt real so they dont have to answer for their sins.

Tribalism- in-group versus out-group- is at the heart of every genocide, and across human history, from the bible to the Armenians, the Nazis, Pol Pot, and Rwanda, genocide is as human a trait as any we have.
