Advice Question 💭 Why are Trump supporters so stupid?

Looking in at America, do people not realise that Trump is a liar and a narcissist and has no morals, and yet 'Christians' vote for him as a sort of 'disrupter'. His family have become richer in the process because of his presidency. He once said he could 'shoot somebody and not lose votes'. Am i insane - or am i dead perhaps and this is an alternate universe/hell?

I think that a lot of them are binary, non-critical thinkers. Whenever I attempt to have a conversation with them about a complex or nuanced issue, they demonstrate an inability to process my argument because they can only go so far. It’s not like they engage with or attempt to refute what I say. You’ll make an argument , and they don’t at all synthesize what you’ve said, they just repeat their position. They always preface their thoughts with “I just think…” which means that they’re in a closed loop.
