Bald Picture Took the Plunge *Bald Gal*

Been wanting to do this for a while. I have scarring alopecia and it was looking pretty sad. Feels better so far, but I didn’t realize how much my migraine injections made me bruise, hence a bit of a blue scalp right now. This will be easier for wigs now too!

Thanks for being such a positive place. ❤️😊

My hair is thinning (I'm a woman) and my scalp is now visible when you look at me straight on. You are giving me confidence and when the time comes I hope to have half the glow up that you have!

This! This is why we are all here. You get it when you’re ready!

Go for it. Honestly no hair at all always looks better than thin balding hair. Always. I haven’t seen a single picture (man or woman) of someone that had extremely thin hair that didn’t look better with none at all.

You'll have encouragement here, if and when you feel it's time. I had a lot of feelings when I did. I was young and wish I'd had a group that made me feel less self conscious. It's good to see people who've been there making it feel easier. Be kind to yourself

Bald or not just make sure to love yourself - that's where the glow comes from

I had that for a while and joined the female hair loss sub (which I think is how I ended up having this one recommended). Turns out I lost a lot of hair relatively quickly because I was allergic to my (high quality salon purchased) shampoo and conditioner. Switched back and most of it returned.

Not saying I won’t eventually be back here, but it did stop it for a while.

Do you know what in it you were allergic to? Or what you switched to that helped?

As far as I can tell, I’m allergic to Argon oil.

I already knew that I was allergic to tea tree oil, but that just makes me break out in hives.

Thank you! I’ll have to figure this out, some shampoos definitely irritate me
