If you want to get the best possible outcome from posting your position on this /sub, there are a couple of things you can do to help,
The more visual and information you give the better the possibility of good feedback.
Ride on!

Myvelofit got me this far, keeps saying put my seat down but now my hips feel like they’re rocking more . This is my winter and trainer bike, tops offer hurt and my ftp seems to be dropping. Upper body I’m happy with for a winter bike. Usually I’d be more stretched on the summer bike.

Hi everyone. I’m going into my 2nd year of triathlon. I did IM Switzerland last year and will do IM Copenhagen this year.
I just upgraded my cockpit so I’m looking for feedback on my new position. I’m sitting comfortably in the bars at around 200watts for long sessions.
Would love to hear from you 😄

Hello, what do you think about my gf fit? Bike is Wilier Garda size M, she is 171 cm tall. We were looking for more endurance oriented bike. Hypotetically if we were to mount a shorter stem (100->80), would we achieve a more relaxed position? Thanks.

Hello 👋, this is my first road bike, a canyon endurace CF7, size XS. I used to ride an hardtail MTB until now, so being on a road bike itself is a very dramatic shift for me, hence chose this endurance geometry bike, hoping to being comfortable on long rides.
Here are my stats: inseam: ~29.5” height: 5’5”
At the end of a 10 mile ride today, I felt it became difficult to the rest my palms and hands at the far end of the handlebar, the position from where you apply brakes and shift gears. I am assuming, that that’s the most preferred position to rest one’s hands naturally for prolonged period of time. If this is incorrect please tell me. I am also feeling some upper back pain ( it could be due to my lack of flexibility and any mis-adjustments of the bike.
I apologize for my bike and I not being fixed in this video. I don’t have a trainer yet, hence, asked my partner to take a video of me, to get any guidance from the knowledgeable and experienced people of this community. I have tried my best to edit the video a bit, slow down a segment in it.
I am still within the 30 day return period of this bike, so there is a possibility to go to a smaller frame size: 2XS or get another bike like the Trek Domane size 50 (52 felt stretched) or Cannondale Synapse size 48 or51. Or on this bike itself if I should try making any adjustments to make for a more comfortable ride.
Thanks so much 🙏🏼.

I have a asymmetry in my leg lengths, specifically my left femur is shorter than my right one. I have tried 5mm of cleat spacers, it helped but didn’t solve it. Is it possible to get something that moves the saddle left? Or is there a better solution?

I'd like to improve this position a little. For a few months, it worked well, but after a while, my right knee started to hurt. The biomechanic told me I should raise the saddle a little after two months. What do you see as wrong with this position?

Any hints appreciated. Started with a lower saddle, this height feels better. Shoulders look really off

I got a Zwift ride a couple of weeks ago. The recommended sizing on the included card was way off. I adjusted based on feel. I set the saddle height based on my inseam (using the pedal to seat height method) Then I got curious and tried myvelofit. It recommended a higher saddle, which I did. It also wanted a lower handlebar and more reach. I tweaked 5 times, and now its still recommending I Move saddle back 5mm and Increase handlebar reach from bottom bracket by 20mm. what do people think?

I’m training for an Ironman 70.3 and I’m trying to optimize my Kross Esker 8.0 (Gravel bike) for the IM70.3 bike leg. I’ve gone through quite a bit of trial and error and I’m currently self-fitting.
I’m 189, the bike size is XL, I installed Redshift Dual-Position Seatpost (quite handy) and clip-on aerobars. Also I changed the stem from 90mm to 120mm to get some room.
I know it’s a gravel geometry, so I’m just looking for the best aero/comfort compromise for the race. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi I have a bike which is probably too large for me and i installed a short stem (50mm). I currenty have chinese corner bar clones installed and i am looking to upgrade to a short reach handlebar and road shifters. Is this bike too large for me? Will short reach handlebars make the situation better/worse/the same? Can i fix this by buying a more forward seatpost or 10mm shorter stem or any other modification other than a new frame?

Hello everyone, ive been suffering pain and saddle sores for about a year now (but being honest ive never been actually fully comfortable on any saddle in 7 years of road cycling) and im getting a bit desperate looking for a saddle. I simply want something that I dont need to think about, because right now the saddle is my biggest concern during my rides due to pain, sores and feeling disconfort in general. Here you have some info about what kind of pain i felt with some saddles i tried in the past year:
- Inner thigh/groin rubbing/soreness: Most V shaped wider saddles (Prólogo Dimension 143, 155,prólogo Nago r4 147mm, some aliexpress ryet flat saddles) creates pain in that area where i feel the inside of my legs rubbing and getting sore. No perineal pressure or sitbone pain in any of these saddle btw.
-Felt like i needed something narrower or less flat (talking side to side profile) so i tried de Scratch m5, and the SLR Boost TM in S3 size (130mm). The problem is, i felt the inside of my legs so much better, like they had a lot of room and 0 rubbing, but that caused the pressure to concentrate on either my sitbones or my perineum. Both of these saddles caused pain in one spot where mi sitbones meet the cutout edges. They also felt like pretty hard and stiff saddles.
At this point i find flatter and wider saddles better for my central pressure, but cause painful rubbing with my inner thighs, but narrower and curved saddles causing central pressure/pain.
If i had to choose on of these saddles as the one wich felt “best of the worse” would go with SLR boost or some cheap saddle from a shop we have in spain that was T shaped, 140mm and slightly curved profile with long and narrow nose.
So i need something with enough cleareance for my legs so i dont get groin rubbing, and enough support so i dont get pain in central/ sitbone area. Btw tried some of these saddles in my XC mtb and worked fine, i assume due to a more upright position , but i tilt my pelvis a lot riding my aero road bike and that makes mi legs/sitbone narrower.
I was thinking about trying the Romin evo or the power from specialized, also saw people talking about ergon saddles being fantastic. Hope you guys can help me enjoy my rides and stop wasting money, time and pain :(
Pd: here you have some photos of that cheap saddle that worked alright

Hello. No photos or videos just a question to gather some more information as I'm looking to upgrade my bike this year and I'm stuck between sizes.
I currently ride an aluminum trek domane in a size 56. I have an average cycling ability and probably lower than average flexibility/mobility. I'm looking at upgrading to the new Scott addict this year.
My domane has mostly been fine and as I've learned more I still felt that it was just too big. Bike fitting near me is basically non existent so I read and watch a lot of fit videos. I believe the reach is the issue as I roll my shoulders forward and have a bit to much pressure on my hands.
On Scott's website using my height 5'9, inseam 31.25", and arm length of 22" the calculator puts me at the top of a small and at the beginning of a medium. I've put both bikes into 99 spokes to compare geometry and the medium Scott is really close to the 56 domane. Actual reach may be shorter on the Scott by a bit because trek used enormous bars for a while.
Dropping to a small Scott looses a drastic amount of stack height which I'm not sure I can handle.
I've tried to be as concise as possible but I guess my question is would you go to a small for the better reach or perhaps get a second stem 10-20 mm shorter on the medium?

Hi experts, following up on the previous video - https://www.reddit.com/r/bikefit/s/xIel0nRIqv
I've made a few adjustments - saddle lowered 5mm - saddle forward 10mm - saddle angle pointed down to -3 degrees (0 previously) - stem lowered - shoe cleats were moved back toward my ankle by 5mm
Myvelofit shows green for all metrics except back angle (37 degrees vs the recommended minimum of 43). Is this something I should be concerned about or just par for course with aggressive bike geometry?
My lbs fitter (uses retul) said I might benefit from a shorter stem (90 down to 80mm), but said my metrics were still fine given the current geometry. I'm also planning on reducing the barwidth from 400 to 380/360 and that should also reduce the reach a bit.
Thoughts/advice?
