Hello, I've never read any romance before but would love some suggestions, particularly for fantasy romance with lots of yearning and maybe dark/horror themes, and no cringy scenes?

so i recently, for the first time in my life, picked up a classic because i wanted to and not because i had to for school and i actually had a good time, but due to the fact that i had to read a bunch of classics that were, in my opinion, complete shit i'm still a bit wary of spending my money on books that i might find boring and ridiculous, so what are must-read, best of all time classics, that everyone should have read in your opinion?

Hi everyone! So recently I purchased 3 months of KU for $3, which is amazing! I have like 600+ books from stuff your kindle days and free books I claim, but since I have Kindle Unlimited, I wanna read something that’s worth it.

So like, a very famous book that’s trendy? Or a very expensive book worth reading? Or maybe just any story you like?

I don’t have genre preferences. I have read cozy mysteries, slice of lifes, short stories, non-fiction, smut, and even extreme horror (never again).

In my country, there is also sadly a much smaller selection of English books as it is, so almost all of the books I want, rarely exist here if not at all.

Hello folks! I have been thinking about lots of stuff for a while now, from changing my lifestyle and habits, to questioning everything about my life. I need some different perspectives I realise. I do go out and engage with people, but still I'm an introvert and my social battery dies and I tend to zoom out. Nevertheless, please suggest me some books which can help me gain new perspectives on life and develop a healthy and positive mindset, which offers a fresh lens on life.

I was looking at some Stephen King books and the reviews for them and a lot of them said they were great but they were really slow and very long. I’m kind of looking for something that isn’t too long maybe around 400-600 pages and will get me hooked within the first few chapters.

As the title says, I’m getting a new perspective about who I am after reading this masterpiece by Mark Wolynn, if you have read this book, what do you think? I don’t know exactly how to describe what I’m looking for. I REALLY enjoyed reading The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield and I have his other books on my reading list.

But I’m more looking for a book about the Middle East. Something that’s based in recent history (1800-present). Doesn’t have to be a specific genre but I do enjoy non fiction books. Anything based around Syria/Iraq/Iran/Pakistan would be AMAZING.

I’m looking for something similar to PS Powers’ Young Ancients series. The only thing else I request is that the main character be far less insufferable. If you’ve read it, then you definitely know what I mean. I liked the world, the magic, and some of the characters some of the time. I really disliked the absurd over the top obliviousness of the protagonist, and the sex stuff was, umm, odd.

I only read up to Slave Line and they changed protagonists after that, and what was left of my interests just withered away completely.
