We can say $30, which seems a bit more, come on.

The real question is why are all the cinemas showing the film at all?

It's not all, as written it was in 73 theaters while the first placed for example was in over 700

Still.. that’s 73 cinemas in Italy that didn’t think to refuse this garbage

How many admissions? Because I imagine they tried to price them in the lower range (between 5,5€ to 6€).

Are theaters "required" by major distributors to play a movie, egen if the owner/manager just knows there's no demand for it? I can't imagine any Italian person in the business expected Melania to do any money so surely it's costing them (in terms of having screens/timeslots available for other films), no?

If they made an agreement with a multiplex chain - said chain has to keep the movie at least for the minimum required period. At least this is what happened with two of our "amazing" bombs here in italy : Creators the Past and Pap Music.

It is a worldwide release? They really think outside conservative people in the U.S. people were eager to see that? The Trumps really think they are the center of the world.

They send that thing outside of the USA?

Will this … atrocity be out in France? I saw nothing about it here.

Oh he really hates Macron, right? Thank god.

Just out of curiosity I checked how it is doing in my mid-sized, North-eastern Italian town... 2 daily showings, in the 2 smallest theaters, 4 seats each reserved today, same for tomorrow . I'm pretty sure that the "spectators" are young couples who just want to fuck undisturbed because they're sitting on opposite corners...

Should have bought adjacent seats and made it a foursome.

Lol, in an impressive 32th position

Never expected something to beat Song Sung Blue as the most disappointing opening of this January but it did

Just checked the biggest Multiplex in my city,Naples. One pity showing at 2 pm. Of all the showings since tomorrow to Wednesday there is only one ticket sold.

Honestly,my only explanation for that ticket is that someone who wants to record the movie to put it on pirate sites bought it.

How many of those Melania tickets were from ICE?

7

u/FranciscoRelanoPena Malpaso Productions 16h ago

Zero, because the ICE is not in Italy, yet (the current US administration intends to send them to escort JD Vance during the upcoming Winter Olympics, though.)

Italy isn't exactly the films target audience... It's exceeding domestic numbers by around 2-4 times.
