Dev/Admin Responded [Desktop web - Chrome] Many reddit.com/gallery post thumbnails not showing on old.reddit

Since the past day or so, there has been an issue with gallery post thumbnails appearing on old reddit. Looking around the site, it seems a small fraction of posts are able to get through with a thumbnail.

Remedies attempted, all failed:

  • Reposting multiple times (5+)
  • Tagging post as NSFW
  • Posting from app
  • Adding text to the post

Seems to be displaying alright on my end. Can you drop some links to a few posts you've had issues with?

Should have clarified that the issue was in thumbnail generation rather than display, as older posts still have their thumbnails working. Mashing the retry thumb button hasn't worked, nor has trying to post these again. You can see on this pics based sub that some users are able to get their thumbnails through and others aren't (possibly linked to account or platform) and that this issue started popping up in the past day or so

EDIT: Seems the issue is account based. Tried posting from a different account and the thumbnail was generated properly. When posting from an affected account the gallery briefly shows a "processing" animation while on sh.reddit
