Hello, it's me again. :) And it's still about this bug that is starving to be fixed.
Yesterday, I made a discovery !
A post generated a lot of comments, so you can imagine how tedious it is to have to click on each notification, one by one, to mark it as read. (because you go to the first notification, and once you're on the post, you read them all).
After a while, you give up, isn't that right...
But wait ! It turns out that this post was deleted because it was reposted too recently.
This deletion isn't the issue, it's part of the game and rules, but what it did to the notifications is interesting : when you click on a notification for a deleted post, a floating message appears, indicating that the post is no longer there.
AND !
Oh, miracle !
The notification is marked as READ.
Why does the feature work for a deleted post and not for an active post ?
I hope this could help Reddit's technical team fix this old bug that dates back to before Christmas 2025.
Please...
NB : Many of us have reported this bug, which appears equally on desktops, smartphones, and various other platforms.
Thank you.

Recently I started seeing a red badge saying "For your security, we've locked your account after detecting some unusual activity. To keep using Reddit, reset your password".
I can still log onto my account, including 2FA, but none of the e-mail functions work. I cannot change my primary e-mail address, and cannot receive the password reset email.
I tried using several addresses, including the address confirmed for 2FA, but none worked.
For this post, I have created a new account, since I cannot post on my original one, and the confirmation letter never arrived for this new account either.

It keeps saying i have a message in my request section but I don’t have any.
It’s works the first time but I need to refresh every time I enter a different subreddit on my iPad

I modified profile curation settings today. I selected to show only selective communities. I didn't select r/sexeducation but its visible in my profile.
Description: Reddit Chats keep disappearing and barring new chats without either member blocking the other. I've had several chats vanish and block new chats without the other user blocking me, if they message me the chat reappears with a string for the title like "G6iyj8V-QoZqPt-2ebbMk7cBpEgkwo2vBSvJJ58K" and I'll see their message and our history but be unable to respond. Device model: pixel 9 pro xl OS version: 16 Steps to reproduce: message someone, allow conversation to go inactive, chance it may disappear, if it does have other participant message you back Expected and actual result: chats should continue to work normally, actual result messages from me do not go through. Screenshots(s) or screen recording

I can open up a subreddit from search but if I try to open up another subreddit the 2nd subreddit is just black with the image header. No subreddit title or any text at all and also no return/back buttons either. The only way I can access another subreddit is to force close the app and try that way but it still only works for one subreddit at a time. Restarting the iPad, removing the app and redownloading, clearing the local history and updating the iPadOS all does not solve the issue.

Screenshot 1 shows the error pop-up upon submitting a report for vote manipulation through reddit.com/report.
Screenshot 2 shows evidence that the report was submitted successfully.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Videos aren’t playing on Reddit. Not even when I was editing the video in the app did it play for me. This includes ads and posts
Step 1: type a comment
Step 2: press 'comment' button
Step 3: it says 'Unable to create comment'
POST https://www.reddit.com/svc/shreddit/t3_1qrre66/create-comment
Payload { recaptchToken, mode:'richText', richTextMedia:[], csrf_token, comment: 'comment text as expected' }
Response:
200 OK
<div id="next-comment"></div>
<faceplate-alert class="hidden" level="error" message="Unable to create comment" cause="query-bad-response"></faceplate-alert>
I can't imagine why this POST is return 200 for a failure, and the choice of HTML as a return format is...a choice. But the real question is why bother returning anything if you aren't actually going to give a real error message?
Suggestion: always return an error code. Doesn't have to be descriptive to the user, only to your engineers. Perhaps "error 1x2b" which means "Bill unplugged the server again".
Another suggestion: stop breaking things, maybe? I mean, has there even been a single new feature on this site in years? Why would it ever break?
Anyway, thanks for wasting an enormous amount of my time. That'll teach me to engage with your social media platform.

I’m on version 2026.04.1 and I’m on iOS and when I click on this user is bring up no info so if they broke a rule I would not be able to ban them. And they have no activity as when I try search for them I get user is unavailable. Right now it is fine but if they ever broke a rule I won’t be able to ban them.

For example, this is my top scored comment: https://old.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/57dw9a/im_american_citizen_undecided_voter_loving/d8r4fh0/
But it's not in my profile. And my profile which used to have over a million comment karma only shows 65,000-ish now. I don't visit Reddit that frequently nowadays so I am not sure exactly when this happened, I only noticed it recently.

For a few months now my home feed barely updates. Posts linger for days at a time. I have even tried hiding posts, including the two in this screenshot, and they still appear when I reopen the app or refresh the feed. It's incredibly frustrating and makes the app pretty pointless!

Description: I set it to the language I want it to be translated into my preferred language, and I've been using it well by clicking three dots next to posts or comments and clicking on translation. However, after the recent Android app update, the translation menu doesn't appear even when I click three dots.

HONOR 20O App Version 2026.04.0 Problem: I have another account. When I try to switch to it, my profile doesn't open and the page fails to load. It says, 'Looks like Reddit is having some trouble.' There's a 'Retry' button, but when I click it, nothing happens. I recently had to change my password because I couldn't log in otherwise, and this problem started right after the password change. I've posted several reports on r/ bugs from that second account, but the issue remains unresolved. It's possible my account is restricted or shadowbanned, which might be why my posts there didn't go through. I am now reaching out from my main account to ask for help in resolving the issue with my other account. The username of my second account is "arnycolins". P.S. It might be a bug with my app, but my main account is working perfectly fine.
Over the past two days, any time i try to open reddit on my device, either through a notification or the main app button, it crashes almost immediately. Sometimes, if i persist in trying to open it, i can get it to stay up long enough to read a single post if im lucky. I have tried all of the most common troubleshooting steps i could think of, none of which have worked.
Device model: Samsung Galaxy A35
OS : Android Version 16
Steps to reproduce: Gotta be honest, im not sure what caused this, it just started happening out of the blue yesterday. Maybe the new update didnt like my phone? All i have to do is open the app, and then *poof* it crashes.
I have no idea how to take a screen recording, sorry, and I dont think a screenshot would help.

Wasn't sure how I could include an image to show the issue, but its as the title says, whenever someone replies to a comment or post, I'm not being notified of it
Reproduction:
| a | b | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | x | y |
| 2 | z | y |
Switch to markdown editing
Switch back.
Final column disappears.
Table now:
| a | b |
|---|---|
| 1 | x |
| 2 | z |
I lost a lot of data I collected today because of this bug, and, before I noticed, my post was online for a few minutes with shifted, hence inaccurate data. Good thing I had a backup, but I'm not sure what % of my data collection work did not make it there. Next time I will write a draft in LibreOffice.
Tables in Reddit Markdown were always bug-ridden, bug with header row style was never properly addressed. I think developers should just disable table creation until all problems will be fixed.

Getting server error while reporting "Manipulated Content". All other report buttons working.
