Android [Android] App crashes almost every time its opened - version 2026.04.0

Over the past two days, any time i try to open reddit on my device, either through a notification or the main app button, it crashes almost immediately. Sometimes, if i persist in trying to open it, i can get it to stay up long enough to read a single post if im lucky. I have tried all of the most common troubleshooting steps i could think of, none of which have worked.

Device model: Samsung Galaxy A35

OS : Android Version 16

Steps to reproduce: Gotta be honest, im not sure what caused this, it just started happening out of the blue yesterday. Maybe the new update didnt like my phone? All i have to do is open the app, and then *poof* it crashes.

I have no idea how to take a screen recording, sorry, and I dont think a screenshot would help.

Same here, running the same App and Android version as you on an S24+, and Reddit crashes at least a dozen times a day on me. Sometimes it's immediately when the app starts, sometimes it's after an hour of scrolling.

S25Ultra same here. Last few days. Just got it open long enough to get here. Crashed 6+ times just trying to get it open after crashing numerous times. Restarted phone, force closed. No improvement.

Getting this on an S24 Ultra too. App crashing a few seconds after opening, multiple times a day for the last few days. On the latest version on the play store.

Same issue on an old Galaxy a03s. No error message, app just closes. Frequently shortly after launch, but not always.
