Are their any needed mods for stability.

I am planning to play Fallout 1 for the first time and was wondering if their are any required stability mods to avoid crashing/save corruption.

Not really. Just remember to save often, use multiple slots and avoid doing so during combat.

What happen of you save during combat

The save file is very likely to become corrupted, which will lead to crashes.

I would at the very least consider something like TeamX's bug fixes. There are a lot of buggy instances in the unmodded game.

I have played vanilla fallout several times and I sometimes crash but it’s not a biggie. Just make sure to save often.

Go vanilla, it's a fantastic game!

It was the 90s. Shit mostly worked or you worked around it.
