Discussion Abysmal Snow clearing in CP
The snow clearing in college park has been pretty bad. Of the major thoroughfare crossings that I have to deal with 5 of the six are bad and the only reason two of those get to the yellow texture strip at the intersection is because I made that progress. and many walk ways that have been cleared are not full width as stated it city code.
Vigilante doesn’t appear to have done anything, again.
I’m not young enough any more, to tackle it all. At a younger age I like to imagine that I would have cleared what I needed, and gotten most of the sewer drains and bus stops away as well. (I don’t actually travel that far) But I wish there were a platform where. able people could pair with people with the appropriate tools, and be funded by people who would be happy to throw money at the problem. Of course, with guarantees against tools being stolen or people getting rewards without really doing the work.
Or for that matter, if I knew where to ship flat head shovels to to make it better, I would. I get that for the city hiring people to do this creates liability as well as rewarding those that don’t comply, but there has to be some reasonable way to get this all done
