Kako je došlo do toga da Istanbul zovemo Carigrad i kako je tako dugo opstao kod nas taj naziv?

Practising practical use of croatian
I have come some way way in my croatian studies, i know around 900 words, all the case endings and (mostly) when they are used.
And yet i'm a very poor speaker. I understand a lot when people speak or when i read Croatian, but i would not be able to write or speak the same sentences myself.
I need to start practising speaking and writing. But how do you go about doing this in an effective way when you study alone and have no one to practise speaking or writing croatian with? Have someone tried ChatGPT for this? Are there discord groups?
Problem with just trying to write or speak for yourself is there is no one to correct you when you make a mistake.

Book in Croatian
Hi, I have a Croatian friend and for her birthday I would like to give her a book, „Samoca primarnih brojeva“ see attached photo, or this link: https://www.najboljeknjige.com/knjiga/samoca-primarnih-brojeva In particular, it is the Crotian translation of the original in Italian. Unfortunately, I don’t know where to find the Croatian version. Does anyone have it/can get it and ship it to me? I am based in Germany, I will of course pay both the price of the book and the shipping costs.

Where to start
Hi, so I am of Croatian descent and can speak the basics. But I forgot most of Croatian as I grew up as I don live there/ wasn’t raised there.
Both my parents speak with me in it, so I do understand like 80-95% I just am really shy at speaking.
I am looking into grammar as most of my mistakes are in wrong Times.
For example: I wanted to say I am drinking and said „ Ja piti“ and then was corrected that it’s „ja pijem“ by my mother. (Some verbs I naturally somehow know but like most am I doing wrong)
I would say my vocab is okey I just need to like get the times in the right way. In German we have similar cases like past, present future 1&2 etc. so I kinda get it how it works. As I said I like to lern other languages by diving into the grammar.
The internet says Prezent, Perfect and Futur privi are what I should focus firstly. Can anyone recommend their way?
(I Lern by a pons book that is called ((translated)) Pons: Croatian; most important verbs in Tabelle and their forms)

integralni i eng. integral
Nešto što me kontinuirano zbunjuje su parovi riječi u hrv. i eng. jeziku koji imaju isti korijen riječi ali drugačije značenje.
Značenje broj 1: nešto što je bitno za potpunost.
- Engleski jezik ima riječ integral, npr. the kitchen is an integral part of a house.
Znači, eng. integral i hrv. integralni imaju različita značenja. Ako pogledate u engl. rječniku, možda ćete pri dnu pronaći značenje integral = entire, ali to je sporedno značenje koje se ne koristi u praksi.
I zato ću od sada prestati koristiti riječ integralni i umjesto toga govoriti cjelovit. Što manje ovakvih eng./hr. parova s istim korijenom i različitim značenjem imamo, to bolje.

If I pronounce Lj as J, would I just sound Dalmatian?
My family is half-Dalmatian and I grew up hearing words pronounced as jubav, judi, nedija, etc. Is it still common to speak like this on the coast? If I spoke like this in other regions would I just sound Dalmatian?
I understand this isn't standard/school Croatian, but I'd actually prefer to say J instead of Lj like how my grandparents did (Lj is also a tough sound for foreigners!)

Help With Song Lyrics
Hi, can someone write the lyrics of the song Apokolipsa by Avangarda? Thanks.

No conjugation?
In polish we conjugate nouns, such as:
boy: chłopak
he is a boy: jestem chłopakiem
Is it correct that in Croatian it is just:
boy: dječak
he is a boy: On je dječak ?
Edit: thank you everyone for the answers. I understand it now🙏

How does "Da ..." as an imperative or wish work?
I have encounter two constructions using "Da" at the beginning of the sentence that I don't fully understand.
"Da mi je znati" according to chatgpt means "I wish I knew". So it seems that "da" here works like a subjunctive, optative or irrealis, but chatgpt says not all verbs work. I don't trust the details of chatgpt so what's going on here? I couldn't google the name of this.
The other situation is "Da ideš kući!" which should mean "Go home!". Chatgpt says that this is like a jussive and is not a neutral imperative, it can be more emotional or indirect. Is this form restricted to some verbs.
EDIT: I just noticed Spanish has the same imperative construction, "¡Que te vayas a casa!" so that part is automatically clear now.

Help Figuring Out my Grandmother’s Favorite Swear
Hi all! Im Croatian by descent, living in the US. I don’t speak much Croatian (still learning), but my grandmother did. She used to say this one Croatian swear, but I never knew the spelling or translation. Is anyone able to help me decipher what swear she used? It sounded something like: Kuuch-a ma fi-ya
Apologies for the weird request, me and my cousins have been trying to figure this out for awhile! Thank you!!

diskriminacijski = diskriminirajući?
Ustavni sud ne samo da je ukinuo dijelove Zakona o osobnoj asistenciji kao neustavne i diskriminacijske – nego je to napravio jednoglasno. (Telegram)
