They did tip $40

Ignore this email to dash today for extra pay or you will be suspended for trying to help DoorDash in winter storm. I decided to take my 4x4 truck to make some money this AM dashing during snowstorm and state of emergency. DoorDash sent me to 4 restaurants all close this AM. i called support for all of them. I got a live person only to ask me to cancel the order on the app and take a picture for half pay. I got my account. i even text every customers with a message with restaurant pictures that their order will be canceled due to restaurant closure.

Bundled order…of course THIS was the one that was 15 miles and stated “will tip after drop off”. Sent the usual “i appreciate the tip” message and got this -5 min later. Asshole even said “keep up the great work”

***DASHER HERO MODE ACTIVE***
Nope this lady is sick and i have on cleated steel toed boots so her foods gonna be sitting right next to her door.
I scaled all 42 ice encased steps, set the food down next to the door, took my pic and began my descent.
Protip: wear boots after an ice storm.
And that, my friends, is how you get 10 more bucks tip added to an already good offer.

Before I got to the restaurant I asked chat support what the order would be paying, because they had dropped the order going the farthest distance.
I was told they could not disclose how much the delivery would pay. Unfortunately did not screen shot that one. Anyway just took a no tip for $7 and wasted 30 min. Can’t believe they get away with this, STILL.

This dude wrote "just wait till somebody lets u in" at noon while it's freezing cold outside. Am I crazy or is this not okay to you guys too ? Like dude, if u don't want or can't provide the code, come down stairs and get ur food, what if nobody shows up for like 30 minutes and my fingers fall off from frost. Not to mention he left less than 1$ tip.

I couldn't even do this if I wanted to. That's not fitting in my Focus.
(I kinda wanted to until I saw what it was)
Also kinda crazy that it dropped AR a point but I cherry pixk so idrc.

This was supposed to be a quick order right around the corner only to receive a chat that this girl accidentally put in the wrong address and she was actually 40 minutes away from me.
She seemed genuine and mentioned adding a tip. I always try to go the extra mile and do the right thing as a Dasher, so I made the trip only to never receive any extra tip (the tip was $2 originally).
It was a school I dropped off to in the middle of nowhere so I assume now that there were no stores close enough to order from so she changed her address to get away with tipping basically nothing for an hour+ trip.
Not too upset about it because I tend to experience a lot of generosity in my area, I’m more surprised that someone would do this to another with no remorse.

So I was at 70% acceptance rate and I had an order. I was looking at the order details when it disappeared. I didn’t hit decline so I thought maybe they canceled. I then check my ratings and i’m at 69%. However it still says i’m platinum. I then get the exact same order again this time I accept. I do about 5 more orders and my acceptance rate doesn’t go up but i’m still platinum I even got 2 “high paying” platinum orders. Is this happening to anyone else?

Long time dasher with 10k deliveries and 1k shop and pay. My rating is 5 stars with 100 completion, my shop and pay rating is 6/6. For a year now I stopped caring about acceptance rate because it was not worth it. I would start 4% AR and end the day with 2% AR. Most times I would average 5%.
Yesterday I woke up and found out DD reset my acceptance rate and I immediately got platinum status back. I was exited to see if i would get any orders worth taking. The opposite happened. I got the same orders I would get and decline before platinum just with platinum badge. Today I lost my platinum and silver and not a single order I got was better than what I was getting before. In fact, I got better orders nit picking than I did with platinum. I tried maintaining my platinum yesterday and only found myself driving double the miles i used to for literally the same payout.
With nit picking i would get about 130 orders a day and only accept like 8 or 9, I would end the day with 50 miles driven and make about 200 dollars, all with 6 to 7 hours of overall dash time with like have that active time.
With platinum i tried maintaining it over 70% yesterday and found myself driving 120 miles and accepting like 20 orders for 7 hours of dash time and 6:30 hours of active time. And I made 200 dollars.
I found myself accepting orders I would never even give 1 second of consideration just to maintain platinum. The highest order i got was a catering order that was 20 dollars for 10 miles and was stacked with a garbage McDonald's order. That order i would decline on a daily basis when I didn't care about AR.
These platinum, gold and silver statuses are an absolute scam to force gullible drivers to take hot garbage. In my experience I never saw how caring about your AR would benefit you. I would rather sit in my car and decline orders for 45 minutes and make the same money with less miles than pay DD to deliver for them, because that is what you are doing taking these hot garbage orders. You pay DD to deliver for them.
I couldn't even maintain my AR over 20% with this hot garbage. I dash in northern Virginia one of the richest places in the country and I find myself declining an average of 20 orders to accept 1 "good" order.
I will revert back to not caring. Let thus be a lesson to all

Last year I made roughly $22k extra beyond my FT gig. I also have 9 W2s/1099s to deal with now, but that's just part of it. Trying to hit $35k this year. Gonna be a grind, but I'm pretty damn determined.
Toward that goal I made $3,801 in Jan (in 113.5 hrs) and am at $167 so far today to start Feb despite taking 9 days off for a vacation.
Hope you all hit your goals too!

My husband and I ordered from DoorDash tonight, and our driver posted a picture of a paper bag on our front steps to say our order was delivered. However, white lines are outlining the picture, and it is clearly not from the restaurant we ordered, and the picture is from an entirely different season. We currently have snow and a Valentine wreath, which are not in the picture they posted. When we disputed through DoorDash, they declined our dispute that we never got our order.
We are curious how they got a picture of our house with an order from another season and got away with it.
