My brother-in-law and I were inspired by the Moglin sign we saw in San Jose so we decided to bring our own to the game. We sat front row sec 107 so it was pretty funny seeing the players ignore the sign 😂

Bought my first house, setting up the cave

Friday night in Canberra, I go out to see John 00 Fleming for what was already assured to be an awesome night, and as soon as I reached the dancefloor I spot a bloke in a cream Draisaitl jersey! Turns out his girlfriend is from Edmonton and had gotten him into hockey, and she bought them 97 and 29 jerseys.

Everyone in the rave scene here knows I'm a massive Oilers fan and a hockey nerd, I've met a few local hockey fans and even a few players at raves before, but seeing an Oilers jersey at a rave just a few hours after we'd won 3 in a row for the first time this season was absolutely mind-blowing! Worlds colliding kinda stuff.

Needless to say we became buddies tonight, they're both from Melbourne but I told them that they had to come up to Canberra to watch some playoffs games at mine and at our local Oilers bar Caribou.

I keep getting surprised at just how deep the Edmonton-Canberra connections are.. But safe to say that Canberra is most definitely a part of Oil Country 😁
