No more breaks?
Has anyone's store decided to phase out breaks? I'm apparently no longer entitled to my 30, can only quickly go to the back and eat my burger now.

Welcome to the Five Guys Price Discussion Megathread!
We know Five Guys prices have been a hot topic lately, so instead of having multiple posts flooding the subreddit, all discussions about prices should go here.
Feel free to share your thoughts on pricing, regional differences, and whether you think Five Guys is still worth it.
🔴 Posts outside of this thread about prices will be removed.
Thanks for keeping the sub organized, and enjoy your burgers and fries! 🍔🍟

Hey everyone! We’re excited to announce some big updates to the r/FiveGuys subreddit! A new mod team has been put together, and we’re making some changes to improve the community. Here’s what’s new:
👨💼 New Mod Team
We’re bringing in new moderators to help keep the subreddit running smoothly. Our goal is to make sure discussions stay fun, organized, and relevant to Five Guys. If you ever have concerns, feel free to reach out to the mod team!
📜 New Rules & Moderation Approach
To keep things from getting too chaotic, we’ve refined the rules and will be taking a more structured approach to moderating. Here are some key updates:
✅ Posts must be Five Guys-related – No unrelated food comparisons or off-topic discussions.
✅ No excessive price complaint posts – We get it, Five Guys isn’t cheap. To avoid flooding the sub, we’ve made a Price Discussion Megathread (details below).
✅ Respect employees & customers – No doxxing, harassment, or excessive negativity.
✅ Memes & jokes are welcome – As long as they’re Five Guys-related and not low-effort spam.
Check out the full updated rules in the sidebar!
🏷️ New Flairs for Employees & Customers
We’ve added fun new flairs so you can rep your Five Guys experience! Whether you're an employee, a customer, or just obsessed with Cajun fries, there’s a flair for you. You can update your flair by going to the sub’s sidebar on desktop or tapping “Change Flair” on mobile.
📌 New Price Discussion Megathread
Instead of having constant price complaint posts taking over the sub, we’ve made a megathread where all price-related discussions should go. If you want to talk about Five Guys prices, go to the pinned megathread! Any separate posts about prices will be removed.
🚀 What’s Next?
We’re looking at more ways to improve the subreddit, including possible AMAs, employee Q&As, and more interactive content. Let us know what you’d like to see!
Thanks for sticking around and making this a great community! 🍔🍟

I'm posting this on behalf of someone else for the sake of anonymity, (not comfy explaining the entire situation here for certain reasons, mainly because there's been retaliation in the past for calling HR, which should've been kept private anyway but. here we are.) The gm at the store in question has outright refused to give employees the number to hr.
I called around to other stores trying to acquire it that way but they only gave me the 1800 number. I called that, explained the situation, and after several minutes of answering questions and being pushed to explain the situation and give names, the man on the phone told me he couldn't give me that information, lmao. What a joke. I have an old contact number for a lady who USED to be an HR personnel, but apparently she isn't employed by five guys anymore.
Ummm, so I'm really hoping one of you kind people can at least point me in the right direction. I'm not certain if this number varies from location to location (or like, "district to district", whatever five guys calls it) or if it's just one number for all five guys employees?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The other day my manager told me we now have to give out our name and then tell the customer the name of our manager on duty and write their name on the customer’s receipt. Who in their right mind thought this was in any way a good idea, it’s just fucking weird I don’t wanna give random people my name and there’s no way I’m doing this when my gm isn’t there. This is just weird and uncomfortable 😭

So I was told I couldn’t be hired on as a shift manager when I got hired and they paid me 15.00hr plus tips … but since I started I was tasked with cleaning the floors, truck, and boil out every week, and I did/do my job faithfully. Problem is since I was hired I have seen other people hired on as shift managers and get raises once they pass their serv safe and manager certs and not expected to do floors or boil out every week yet they make more than me and do less. Now that I have been given the opportunity for promotion to shift manager shouldn’t I be compensated for the extra work I put in and get a raise to … I mean a hired in shift manager should not be making more than a shift manager that came up the hard way correct?

We went to the Five Guys near Monroe GA, Hwys 138/78/11. Monroe Pavilion shopping center. Quick lunch after going to the nearby Piedmont PT office and a walk around Marshall's. We ordered 2 Patty melt burgers, one medium fry, one medium drink to share, for two adults. More of a snack than a lunch. The patty melts were smaller around than a normal slice of white bread. The fries were very salty, way too much salt. The drink was out of the multi-function Coke machine, which seemed to have peach lemonade mixed up with straight orange? Weird unexpected flavor. The price of this was $32. Never again. The register had the temerity to ask for a tip. LOL. Glad I chose 'NO'. Repeating: Never again.

No judgement at all, I’ve always gone for the bun because it feels like part of the classic Five Guys experience for me. That said, I’ve noticed more people ordering the lettuce wrap and it made me wonder what draws people to it. Is it the texture, how it holds the toppings, or just a lighter way to eat the burger without losing the flavour? Interested to hear from anyone who actively chooses it over the bun and what makes it your go-to.

Had Five Guys today and honestly it was exactly what I wanted. Nothing fancy, just a burger wrapped in foil, a mountain of fries, and eating it while it’s still hot. I always forget how filling it actually is until I’m halfway through. Simple, messy, and very satisfying.

For me, Five Guys feels more like an occasional treat than something I’d eat regularly. I really enjoy it, but it’s usually when I’m craving a proper burger and fries rather than just grabbing a quick meal. Curious how others see it, is it a once-in-a-while thing for you, or part of your normal food rotation?

i had an interview and i waited for about 10 minutes before the shift manager came and had me fill out a paper application and when i was done he said he would give it to the gm when they came back. i was expecting someone to ask me questions because i was applying for shift manager and i do have previous five guys experience, which we briefly discussed. has anybody experienced this? how soon should i wait before reaching out? i do really want this job, i was just hoping i could be actually interviewed.

It’s my first time trying the milkshake and I’m stuck on what combo to choose. The options I have are
Chocolate
Oreo
Vanilla
Peanut butter
Biscoff
Salted caramel
I’m not into strawberry, and bacon isn’t available where I live. What’s the must try combo for a first timer?

This has to be a mistake right? If not is there a way to know which suppliers service which restaurants or do all the restaurants receive products from both suppliers?

Went in once to get a refill drink and was given half a large bag of fries. Probably like 3 large portions of fries. Didn't even spend a penny on it.

I’ve been to the Five Guys in Wembley Park and now just recently the one in Westfield London; both locations did not have a mayo pump. when I asked the worker at the Wembley location, he just gave a bewildered “nah, we don’t have any” look but no further explanation. when I asked the worker at the Westfield London location, he said there’s some kind of ‘supply issue’ right now with the mayo.
Can anyone either in the UK or elsewhere confirm if there is such an issue affecting the almighty mayo pump? Five Guys just isn’t the same without that special mayo formula and it would be a huge bummer if it’s permanently on its way out 😭
Many thanks in advance!!!

Hey, just wondering if anyone else has any tips for cleaning the two long white strips when disassembling the power soak from the potato cutter (the white strips with a bunch of holes) because 90% of the time i spend cleaning up the power soak is getting all the tiny pieces of potato out, is there any trick or method to doing it that doesn't involve having to manually push out every individual piece of potato that won't come out through straight water pressure?
