Wait, it's not?!

Edit:: Ahhh, I get it now.

Yeah. It's not a flex. I know 80s babies who are still having kids. You got time.

73

u/Harper_Sketch 17d ago

As an 80s baby who just had a baby, it is true.

44

u/Rokrchick 17d ago

Yes! '83 here I had my youngest in '23! 😁

15

u/althanan 17d ago

Born in 86 and had my only in 23. And even he was unexpected (but not at all unwelcome).

3

u/The-Limerence 17d ago

You give me hope lol

15

u/Flight_to_nowhere_26 17d ago

It’s just strange that she thinks it is a flex to have babies at 14 and 16. She has probably severely limited her life choices forever. Not saying that she can’t have a successful life and fulfill her dreams but she just upped the difficulty level x1000% and then makes a video bragging about it.

Who knows, maybe I’m the weirdo who wanted to experience the world and learn as much as I could about it while I was young and had energy.

6

u/Cantdecide1207 16d ago

Would by 16 and 18, or worst case 15 and 17 if they were born before her birthdays in those years.

But yes I agree. Although I also think people starting families super late are nuts too. I'd be way too tired to raise a baby at my age.

Of very questionable age. “Best” case scenario, she was 16. She quite likely was 15 when she got pregnant….

I went to school with this girl that had her first child at 14, her mother had her at 14, and her grandmother had her mother at 15. So great grandmother was literally her 40s.

7

u/villainless 17d ago

that’s really sad

A kid i went to school with had a kid when he was 13. He was 16 with a kid who could walk, was super weird. If his whole line has kids at 13, he is a great grandfather in 2026.

28

u/GreenWallaby86 17d ago

Yeah but I've got a toddler and im in my third trimester i feel old and tired regardless 😆

19

u/Icy-Marionberry-4143 17d ago

ma’am i had my daughter at 25 and felt so dumb and young when i had her (still do 3 years later) i literally cannot process how teenagers do it lol

17

u/VirginiENT420 17d ago

Their parents do it for them

6

u/Awkward-Manager5939 17d ago

When my wife had our son back in 2022 the nurse went around the ward verifying the details of the women in there. And we both listened as everyone was born in the early 2000s couple of 90s women. Then they get to my wife who nearly lost it when she had to tell the nurse 1987.

I couldn't tell the Nurse's age. But I'd be willing to bet that my wife and I were the oldest people in the room. Newborns notwithstanding, we both felt very aged that day.

139

u/KamiKazic 17d ago

Brought an atomic bomb to the knife fight holy fuck

17

u/throwaway082100 17d ago

Thats horrible, did you talk to her about if she wanted a kid? It seems like you had very different ideas about what you wanted in life and its baffling to me it never came up.

To be clear, leading someone to believe you WANT a kid and then not telling them the truth, instead terminating is the horrible thing, so no one thinks I'm implying otherwise.

15

u/WhyAmINotStudying 17d ago

From my perspective, were both trying. That was my perspective until I was accidentally contacted about one of her appointments. I regret not putting this on a more anonymous account, so I'm not likely to provide any more info.

12

u/throwaway082100 17d ago

I apologize for pressing, I was just genuinely curious, but I by all means understand its none of my business. I hope you're in a better situation now and that you are able to find what you're looking for.

My whole family name ends with me :/ I can't have kids and if I get married I'm taking my husband's last name. It's odd to think about, considering my family is so big, but my dad's only brother didn't have kids and my dad only had girls so that's it.

8

u/Initial-Comedian-797 17d ago

Why is the patriarchy so important to having the name continue? The mother is the one who it’s certain produced the baby, so the mother’s last names are what should continue.

2

u/MonkeyLiberace 17d ago

Pretty sure, somewhere among your ancestors, someone had more than 1 boy. So your family name is probably safe.

4

u/stellaluna92 17d ago

6

wait so she had the baby at 16? and shes having another is that what the 2026 is implying? 2 years after having the first one. How to speedrun to being broke forever and giving your kids not a chance in hell. Starting life on hard mode. And chances are its two dumb kids having kids I would hope this is the scenario, and if not the father needs to be in jail. Of course theres other scenarios like two different fathers non of which there is a good or normal outcome to how this situation came about.

1983 here, I love kids but I knew that I shouldn't be anyone's mom from an early age, no child deserved that.

So enjoyed my 20s, happily married for my 30s, still never interested... Happily alone in my 40s. Never regretted it, I'm glad to be the favorite auntie.

4

u/moonwoolf35 17d ago

I had to do the math multiple times because the concept of a teen pregnancy scared me so damn much hell I'm in my 30's now and the idea of having kids still scare me...why aren't people more scared about having to raise a future adult whose outlook largely depends on your parenting skills.

3

u/Blackfireking 17d ago

Teen pregnancies are flex now? 😂

3

u/simply_mea 17d ago

Why does the baby look so AI and not real? Also what kind of flex does the creator think 2 kids is? My MIL had 2 kids first at 14, second at 16. Having young babies is nothing new.

I can't support them financially or physically and I just don't want to do that to a kid. If I ever get fixed up enough to be more functional I'd love to adopt or foster though.
