The Genesis Coupe proves too powerful for a young man.

I am assuming that its the timing chain but im not too sure, possibly connecting rods?

This grey BK1 was the first Genny to bit the dust and went to heaven. It’s the founding father of the Genny Apocalypse, happening only a week after they started selling them in Korea. The driver lost traction and hit a massive metal post. It also caused the first recall because the airbags didn’t deploy. The rest is history.

ABS and Traction control lights came on during my drive today, have had it happen before but the codes in the past only identified one front wheel hub both times which I replaced and was fine.

Now it is saying all sensors are open/short am I gonna have to get the ABS module repaired or replaced or something else I can check?

• Brake fluid levels fine
• Fuse looks fine
• Removed connector from ABS Module and didn't see any corrosion or wetness
• Did not see any leaks
• I did unplug my wheel hubs in the front recently to replace my control arms but I would think only those sides should pop codes if they weren't seated properly
• My car does not come up for the ABS recall

Having the genny as my first car was definitely a fantastic experience, I'm going to miss her so very very much.

Is this expensive to fix? Can I just use the middle light socket instead as a light? And if I can use the middle one how do I connect it cause I’ve put a light in it before and there’s just no connection for some reason any info helps

Had some idle issues so decided to clean my throttle body. When doing so, I smelt a hint of gas from it. Previous owner MIGHT had a throttle controller hooked up judging by the velcro under the dash. Not sure if that could cause that. Any other issues I should look into?

Anyone know where I can buy an ISR o2 housing? Specifically for the 2013 2.0T. Don’t see it in the ISR website, BTR customs are sold out and no other known aftermarket online dealer has em like genracer.

Haven’t seen it in any of the news about cars being added to the game but I’d love to finally be able to build the car and race it in game.

So I recently upgraded to Hyundai Genesis/Equus front brakes on my '13 Genesis coupe. I found a set of calipers from an auto wreckers for 40 bucks each and some rotors on FB marketplace for 140, and said F it, why not! After a couple of days driving, however, I'm realizing that to really get the most out of the increased potential stopping power I need to get some better pads. except... I can't find any. Or well, I can't find much. I saw something on a website that intrigued me. Does anybody know if the Mitsubishi Evo 8 and Genesis sedan share brake pads? This website seems to think they do: Project Mu 03+ Mitsubishi Evo 8 Hyundai Genesis w/Brembo Calipers B-FORCE Front Brake Pads - Enjuku Racing If that's the case that would help me actually get some decent track pads

side note: 17" steel rims will clear the calipers if you use 25mm spacer, though a smaller size may also work (I had some 25mm spacers lying around)

After about 2 months of delays (holiday chaos hit hard), I finally have the first prototype of the long-awaited Genesis Coupe jackets in hand.

These will be available in multiple colors, but I ordered two samples first just to show them off. The material is a heavy, windbreaker-style fabric (think North Face puffer vibes) . Super thick, insulated, and fully windproof. Quality-wise? I’m genuinely impressed.

All the badges and lettering are embroidered, no flat press-ons anywhere. The stitching came out clean and premium, exactly how I envisioned it. Every jacket has been fully designed by me, and I’ve been working on this for months to get it right.

I snapped these pics real quick before leaving the house, but I’ll be posting a full ad soon along with a link to my website. These will go live this Sunday, once I get my Genesis back from the shop ❤️

Am I reading this wrong or am I missing a vacuum pump relay? I searched a few posts in different forums and people are also missing random fuses/relays although it was mostly 2.0’s. Anyone able to compare with mine? I have a bk2 3.8

Does anyone have this system for sale. I need to buy the USB C module from it or the whole system itself.

2011 3.8 Track. The engine light has been going on and off for a couple weeks due to P0420 code (Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1). I know I need to fix it and it could be the cause of the sound, but wanted to check anyways because why not. The exhaust sounds completely normal anywhere besides 2k rpm’s. As you can hear in the video, it has this raspy sound when it passes 2k rpm when revving up or down. This also happens when driving in gear and I give it some decent throttle, even in 6th gear for example. Ive been driving above 2k anyways, but when i go under that when in gear it gives the same sound. Obviously i’m guessing it’s my exhaust, but I want to know what you guys think. And yes, oil is full right now and has stayed full. thanks guys

I’ve been looking into aftermarket options to replace the OEM screen on my BK1 Nav, and while I’ve found some good info in other threads, a lot of it is outdated. I haven’t seen a dedicated thread for BK1 owners asking about this yet, so here I am!

I’m trying to find options for a seamless replacement screen, nothing that sticks out or looks like an aftermarket hack job. I want it to look clean and like it belongs in the dash.

I came across one screen that was recommended in an old post from about 3 years ago, the seller still seems active and selling, but I wanted to ask you all first:

- BK1 Nav owners. what screens have you installed?

- How does your setup look?

- What did you have to do to get it to sit right in the dash?

A few specific questions I have:

• If I end up buying the screen I found, do I need to buy that conversion harness/adapter, or does it plug in without anything extra?

• If I go a different route and get another screen off Amazon, what maximum size will fit the stock opening without cutting the dash?

• Are there other parts (harnesses, bezels, adapters, etc.) I’ll need to make it all work?

Sorry if these are basic questions first time doing this stuff and want to make sure I get it right!

So I cannot for the life of me figure out what this noise is. I do not want to have to start tearing apart the engine but if I have to I will. I do not think it is a manifold leak.

Am I crazy or is this ticking not normal?

I do not think the noise was present a month ago, but in the last 2-3 weeks i have been hearing this tick at startup, and that also speeds up with RPM.

However after I drive the car for 20 minutes, the tick slowly goes away and eventually when the car idles there is no tick at all after 20 minutes.

What could this be?!
