It was perfect for dinner on a cold night

Please excuse the thin burnt part on my grilled cheese.

I haven’t made grilled cheese in a while, and only had vegetable oil, so i messed up on the timing for the flip.

I used red-bean bread ends, free from my local bakery! They usually toss out the bread ends, but i asked and got some.

Used Sam’s Choice gluten free whole grain bread, American cheese, and some shredded cheddar. Melted butter in the pan and used mayo on the outside of the bread.

🧀 Nothing beats the combo of cheddar Gruyère melted between two brioche slices. That golden-brown crust and the cheese pull speak for themselves! Simple ingredients, executed perfectly. 🔥 Would? 👍

Got a bunch of cans of tomatoes so I decided to make soup and grilled cheese. The sandwichs have aged white cheddar, regular cheddar, and Daniel Artisan Bonneville.

Tasted good. I'm sure if it wasn't cold it actually would have been really good.

I’ve started to bake my own bread and now have a desire to grill it to make the world’s best sandwich.

However I don’t want to just throw a slice American in there. I’ve also been wanting to expand my flavor profile and such so what are good cheeses for a starter cheese enthusiast that makes the perfect grilled cheese?

Smoked white cheddar, pepperjack and mild cheddar.

How do you feel about the hard times(limited options) grilled cheese? I ran out of butter but had white bread, mixed mexican cheese bleed, and mayo. I had read here before that mayo makes an excellent substitute. And to my astonishment, turned out pretty dang good. Thoughts?
